He maintains a private medical practice in Volos, Greece. He studied and specialized in Germany, where he pursued a career in Surgery. He completed his residency at the Department of General, Visceral and Transplant Surgery of the University Hospital of Ulm, where in 2007 he obtained his Board Certification in General Surgery and was appointed Consultant Surgeon, while in 2010 he acquired the qualification in Advanced Visceral Surgery. In 2013, he was promoted to Deputy Director, and in 2015 to Associate Director of Surgery, with parallel responsibilities for the development of the 14 Centers of Excellence of the surgical department, including all oncological centers, as well as centers for inflammatory bowel disease, thyroid and parathyroid glands, hernia, and sarcoma.
