Pantelis Athanasios MD, MSc (QMUL), FMBS, SCOPE Cert., FACS, is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Ilion. Andrikopoulos Spyros is a General Surgeon and the Director of the Surgical Clinic at the White Cross of Athens. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras and received training at the Piraeus Cancer Hospital "Metaxa," the Nikaia State Hospital, and the Athens General Hospital "Evangelismos." After completing his specialty, he pursued further training in the United Kingdom at Hereford Hospitals NHS Trust, St. James University Hospital, and the “John Goligher” Colorectal Unit, General Infirmary. Dr. Lazaros Lazarou is a General Surgeon, certified in surgical oncology of the colon and rectum, pancreas, stomach, liver, and thyroid gland, as well as in proctology, with specialized expertise in laparoscopic and robotic surgical procedures. He maintains a private medical practice in Volos, Greece. He studied and specialized in Germany, where he pursued a career in Surgery. He completed his residency at the Department of General, Visceral and Transplant Surgery of the University Hospital of Ulm, where in 2007 he obtained his Board Certification in General Surgery and was appointed Consultant Surgeon, while in 2010 he acquired the qualification in Advanced Visceral Surgery. In 2013, he was promoted to Deputy Director, and in 2015 to Associate Director of Surgery, with parallel responsibilities for the development of the 14 Centers of Excellence of the surgical department, including all oncological centers, as well as centers for inflammatory bowel disease, thyroid and parathyroid glands, hernia, and sarcoma. In 2017, he assumed the position of Director of General, Visceral, Thoracic and Transplant Surgery at the Stuttgart Hospital, which is a certified Oncology Cancer Center of the German Cancer Society (DKG) and a Transplant Center with 23 Centers of Excellence. At the same hospital, he also served as Scientific Coordinator and Medical Director, with responsibilities including: coordination of the Visceral Oncology Center (esophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, colon and rectum, endocrine glands, peritoneal and other metastases, sarcoma), director of the Oncological–Visceral Tumor Board, delegate for the education of medical students at the Center for Surgical Medicine, transfusion officer of the department, coordinator of the research programs of the Visceral Oncology Center, officer responsible for quality assurance of the Department of General, Visceral, Thoracic and Transplant Surgery, as well as member of the committee of the German Cancer Society responsible for the certification of Centers of Excellence in Visceral and Oncological Medicine. Mr. Lazaros Lazarou returned to Greece with his family, aiming to offer his extensive surgical experience and scientific expertise acquired at leading German and European certified centers where he worked. Dr. Ioannis Dimitriou, MD, PhD, is a General Surgeon, Certified Oncologic Surgeon, Proctologist, and Minimally Invasive Surgeon, maintaining a private practice in Marousi, Greece. He specializes in Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci X- & XI-System ©INTUITIVE) and holds a PhD from the Medical School of Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany. Dr. Dimitriou studied at the Medical School of Justus Liebig University in Giessen, where he also successfully completed his doctoral thesis. He specialized in General and Visceral Surgery at the University Hospital Klinikum Krefeld in Germany and subsequently at the University Hospital and Oncology Center Alfried Krupp Krankenhaus Essen. In 2010, he obtained his Surgery specialization, followed by the Visceral Surgery specialization in 2014. He further acquired subspecialties in Oncologic Surgery (2017) and Proctology (2019). In 2012, he was promoted to Senior Consultant (Oberarzt), and in 2018, he became Deputy Director (Stellvertretender Klinikleiter) of the Oncology Center at Alfried Krupp Krankenhaus Essen. In 2019, he assumed the role of Head of the Surgical Department at St. Barbara-Hospital Gladbeck and Sankt Marien-Hospital Buer in Germany—both Certified Oncology Centers (Augustinus Tumor Centrum – ATC) and Certified Hernia Centers (Hernienzentrum) under the German Hernia Society (DHG). In 2023, he was appointed Director of the Surgical Department at the University Hospital Marien-Hospital Marl, a Certified Colorectal Cancer Center (Darmkrebszentrum) accredited by the German Cancer Society (DKG), where he also served as Scientific Director.
