He completed his medical studies at the Medical School of Athens with "Excellent" marks and undertook his specialty training in Greece and Germany (university clinics of general surgery and transplantation in Hannover and Essen). Concurrently, he completed his doctoral thesis on short bowel syndrome also with "Excellent" marks, while specializing in minimally invasive colorectal surgery at the University of Strasbourg, with an emphasis on modern laparoscopic techniques. Subsequently, he completed specialization in pelvic floor disorder management at the University of Venice.

In his clinical practice, he manages general surgery cases covering a broad spectrum, from minor procedures and routine laparoscopic surgeries to specialized colorectal and pelvic floor surgeries.
