Dr. Ioannis Virlos is a General Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Glyfada. He graduated from the Medical School of Alexandroupolis, Democritus University of Thrace, obtaining his medical degree in 1990. In 2000, he earned a Master’s degree in Surgical Sciences (MSc in Surgical Sciences) as well as a Diploma from Imperial College London (Diploma Imperial College), United Kingdom. He has received training not only in Greece but also in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Belgium.After completing his military service in 1992, he trained in General Surgery in hospitals in Athens and the United Kingdom between 1992 and 1999, obtaining his specialty title in General Surgery in 1999. From 2002 to 2012, he served as a surgical consultant in hospitals in the UK, Australia, Belgium, and Greece. Specifically, he worked at the following hospitals in the UK: North Middlesex, Arrowe Park, Derriford, Torbay, Exeter, Cheltenham, and North Bristol, as well as at Sir Charles Gairdner University Hospital in Perth, Australia, and Sotiria Hospital in Athens (as Senior Consultant).During the same period, he received advanced training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and laparoscopic bariatric surgery at Singleton Hospital in Swansea, UK, and Heilighart Ziekenhuis in Roeselare, Belgium.From 2012 to 2021, he worked as a Consultant Surgeon at the following hospitals in the UK: Ealing Hospital, Homerton University Hospital, John Radcliffe & Churchill Hospitals in Oxford, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Northampton General Hospital, and University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. He returned to Greece in 2021.Since 2023, Mr. Virlos has been the Director of Surgery at Metropolitan General Hospital in Athens. He also serves as the General Secretary of the Hellenic Society of Coloproctology. Finally, for the period 2025–2028, he will represent Greece at the European Society of Coloproctology.

Dr. Ioannis Dimitriou, MD, PhD, is a General Surgeon, Certified Oncologic Surgeon, Proctologist, and Minimally Invasive Surgeon, maintaining a private practice in Marousi, Greece. He specializes in Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci X- & XI-System ©INTUITIVE) and holds a PhD from the Medical School of Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany. Dr. Dimitriou studied at the Medical School of Justus Liebig University in Giessen, where he also successfully completed his doctoral thesis. He specialized in General and Visceral Surgery at the University Hospital Klinikum Krefeld in Germany and subsequently at the University Hospital and Oncology Center Alfried Krupp Krankenhaus Essen. In 2010, he obtained his Surgery specialization, followed by the Visceral Surgery specialization in 2014. He further acquired subspecialties in Oncologic Surgery (2017) and Proctology (2019). In 2012, he was promoted to Senior Consultant (Oberarzt), and in 2018, he became Deputy Director (Stellvertretender Klinikleiter) of the Oncology Center at Alfried Krupp Krankenhaus Essen. In 2019, he assumed the role of Head of the Surgical Department at St. Barbara-Hospital Gladbeck and Sankt Marien-Hospital Buer in Germany—both Certified Oncology Centers (Augustinus Tumor Centrum – ATC) and Certified Hernia Centers (Hernienzentrum) under the German Hernia Society (DHG). In 2023, he was appointed Director of the Surgical Department at the University Hospital Marien-Hospital Marl, a Certified Colorectal Cancer Center (Darmkrebszentrum) accredited by the German Cancer Society (DKG), where he also served as Scientific Director. As a Director, he trained numerous physicians in obtaining specializations and subspecialties in General Surgery, Visceral Surgery, Oncologic Surgery, and Proctology, under authorization from the Medical Association of Westphalia-Lippe (ÄKWL).

Currently, Dr. Dimitriou serves as a Senior Consultant/Chefarzt in Oncologic and Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci X- & XI-System ©INTUITIVE) at St. Barbara-Hospital Gladbeck and Sankt Marien-Hospital Buer in Germany. Having gained extensive surgical experience and scientific expertise at some of the most prestigious German and European certified centers, he decided to return to Greece to offer his knowledge and skills to Greek patients. His clinic focuses on minimally invasive surgical techniques (Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery) and specialized Oncologic Surgery, with particular emphasis on colorectal (Colorectal Cancer) and pancreatic cancer (Pancreatic Cancer). Ειδικεύτηκε στη Γενική Χειρουργική στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αττικής "Σισμανόγλειο" και στο Digestive Disease Center του Cleveland Clinic της Florida των ΗΠΑ με υποτροφία της Ελληνικής Χειρουργικής Εταιρείας. Είναι Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Είναι Fellow μετά από κρίση του American College of Surgeons (ACS) και του American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS). Έχει διατελέσει εκπρόσωπος των νέων χειρουργών παχέος εντέρου και ορθού της Ευρώπης στην Επιτροπή Μελών του European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP). Έχει εκπαιδευτεί στο Μιλάνο και στη Βιέννη στις τεχνικές TransAnal Minimally Invasive Surgery (TAMIS) και σε όλες τις νεότερες τεχνικές αντιμετώπισης περιεδρικών συριγγίων αντίστοιχα. Έχει διατελέσει υπεύθυνος για την Ελλάδα σε περισσότερες από 10 διεθνείς πολυκεντρικές μελέτες με τις αντίστοιχες δημοσιεύσεις σε περιοδικά μεγάλου κύρους όπως τα Lancet, Anaesthesia και British Journal of Surgery. Είναι κριτής σε 11 περιοδικά χειρουργικής και μέλος του εκδοτικού συμβουλίου στα Nature Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Surgery και Colorectal Disease. Έχει συγγράψει πάνω από 120 άρθρα-δημοσιεύσεις σε ξενόγλωσσα περιοδικά με περισσότερες από 2500 αναφορές. Επίσης έχει συμμετάσχει ως ομιλητής σε περισσότερα από 20 Ελληνικά και Διεθνή Συνέδρια και έχει γράψει 2 κεφάλαια συγγραμμάτων χειρουργικής.

Ο Τριανταφυλλίδης Αλέξανδρος είναι Γενικός χειρουργός εξειδικευμένος στην ελάχιστα επεμβατική χειρουργική (MIS) και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στους Αμπελόκηπους (εντός του Νοσοκομείου Ερρίκος Ντυνάν). Είναι απόφοιτος του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης (ΑΠΘ) με μεταπτυχιακό στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών (ΕΚΠΑ).
