General practitioners (GPs) in Thessaly

Dr. Nikolaos Kostakis is a General Practitioner with extensive professional experience in both Greece and abroad. He began his medical career in 2008 as a rural doctor at the Health Center of Siteia. From 2009 to 2010, he worked as a private physician at the "Cretan Medi Help" Medical Center in Heraklion, and in 2010, he continued his private practice at the "Asklipieion of Crete" private clinic. Between 2010 and 2011, he served as a rural doctor fulfilling his mandatory service at the Regional Clinic of Menetes in Karpathos. In 2013–2014, he gained international experience as a resident in General Practice at the "FLEN" Health Center in Sweden, and he completed his residency in Greece at the University General Hospital of Heraklion (PAGNI) from 2014 to 2017. Since 2017, he has been serving as a General Practitioner at the 1st Local Health Unit (TOMY) in Heraklion, and since 2025, he also maintains a private medical practice in the same city. He holds a medical degree from the Second University of Naples in Italy.  

Lyritsi Eirini is a General Practitioner specialized in Family Medicine, graduated from the Medical School of the University of Thessaly. She completed her specialization at Papageorgiou Hospital in Thessaloniki, Karditsa General Hospital, as well as the University General Hospital of Heraklion. She holds an ALS certification and has completed further training in Emergency Prehospital Medicine.

She worked as an Attending Physician A in the National Health System (Trikala General Hospital and Naxos General Hospital-Health Center) for 15 years and at the Swiss Biological Medical Centre in Cyprus, a holistic medicine center (chronic pain and holistic approaches including acupuncture, homeopathy, vitamin therapy, nutrition, and exercise).

Since 2021, she has been working in a private clinic in Switzerland (Permanence Medcenter Luzern) managing acute and chronic cases.

Simultaneously, she provides telemedicine consulting in collaboration with Dr Online and NN since 2022.

She is fluent in English and German and has sufficient proficiency in Italian.

Zaxariadis Konstantinos is a General Practitioner who maintains a private practice in Nea Smyrni. He holds a degree in Medicine and Pharmacy from the University of Craiova and has specialized in general medicine at the General State Hospital of Nikaia. Simultaneously, he continuously attends numerous national and international conferences to ensure his ongoing education. He is a member of the Hellenic Diabetes Association, the Hellenic Society of General Medicine, the American Diabetes Association, and the Hellenic Society of Hypertension and Cardiovascular Protection. The doctor has experience in blood pressure regulation, managing obesity and asthma, as well as smoking cessation support. Dr. Margouta Anastasia is a Pathologist and maintains a private practice in Evosmos, Thessaloniki. She holds a Doctorate and a Master's Degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Dr. Margouta specializes in hypertension and diabetes mellitus, the holistic management of obesity, as well as stress. She has worked for many years in university hospitals in Greece and abroad. The services she provides include: regulation and monitoring of blood pressure with 24-hour recording using a high-precision Holter monitor, diabetes management and control, early and timely detection of complications of diabetes mellitus affecting the small and large vessels of the body (retinopathy, neuropathy, nephropathy, coronary heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cerebrovascular disease) and aggressive management of these in collaboration with leading colleagues of the corresponding specialties. She undertakes the nutritional and pharmacological management of serious chronic diseases. The goal is to teach the correct dietary habits tailored individually to each patient's health condition. Additionally, she provides early diagnosis and treatment of specific infections. Furthermore, she has undergone further training in issues related to obesity, stress, and health. She has participated in clinical studies approved by the National Organization for Medicines (EOF) and in research projects, with publications in Greek and international medical journals, as well as articles in magazines and books in both Greek and foreign languages. Tsimeka Mina MD is a Pathologist with a private practice in Vrachnaiika. She studied at the Medical School of the University of Patras and subsequently served as a rural service physician at the General Hospital of Aigio - Health Center of Akrata - Regional Clinic of Ampelokipi. She specialized in Pathology at the University General Hospital of Patras and received further training in Clinical Hepatology following participation in the 16th school of the Hellenic Society for the Study of the Liver. She has considerable clinical experience, having worked in a Chronic Hemodialysis Unit, the Pathology Clinic of the "OLYMPION" Hospital of Patras, as well as the Rehabilitation Center - Care Department of "OLYMPION".
