Nikopoulos Xristos is a cardiologist who has maintained a private practice in Farsala since 2004, while also serving as a scientific collaborator at the Heart-Thorax cardiothoracic surgery clinic of IASO Thessaly.
He graduated from the Medical School of Athens. During his studies, he served for one year as an internal assistant in the Department of Anatomy, where he participated in the education of second-year students in the respective course. He also served as an internal assistant in the Department of Physiology for 3 years under Professor P.K. Bechrakis, with his main focus being research in this area. He specialized in cardiology at the General and University Hospital of Larissa as well as at the AHEPA Hospital in Thessaloniki.
In 2010, he received further training in the latest cardiac ultrasound techniques at the Ioannina Hospital, specifically in stress echocardiography, and obtained certification to perform this examination from KESY following exams.
In 2012, he obtained a 5-year certification in transthoracic cardiac ultrasound at a European level from the European Society of Cardiology, after theoretical and practical competency exams. In 2017, he renewed this certification, valid until 2022, following a new evaluation.
He trained and earned a master's degree in vascular triplex ultrasound in 2016 as part of an international postgraduate program of the Medical School of Larissa in collaboration with the University of Genoa Medical School.
Dr. Nikopoulos has participated in numerous international and Greek conferences and has publications in both foreign and Greek medical journals.
