Parousi Amalia is a Specialist General Practitioner, Specialist in Acupuncture Applications, and maintains her private practice in Acharnes. She obtained her Specialty in General Medicine from the Medical School of the University of Athens and is a Member of the Athens Medical Association (Registration No. 28,447), a member of the Hellenic Society of General Medicine (ELEGEIA), a member of the board of directors of the Panhellenic Medical Acupuncture Society based in Athens since 1982, and an active member of the International Council for Medical Acupuncture (ICMART) based in Brussels, organizing and participating in educational seminars and conferences in Greece and abroad. She works as a Family General Practitioner, with contracts with TEVE, OGA, and other insurance funds, at her clinic.
She is appointed at IKA, in the Acharnes area of Attica. She is involved in Primary Medical Care as a General Practitioner, employing, in addition to classical pharmacological medicine, acupuncture as a therapeutic tool, depending on the case, always aiming for the best management of the patient.
As part of her scientific development, in August 2010, the doctor attended a postgraduate training program on medical acupuncture at the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing and obtained the Certificate of Advanced Acupuncture and Moxibustion.
