Sotirios D. Karamagkiolas was admitted to the Medical School of Ioannina through the Panhellenic Examinations, where he obtained his degree in 2007. He began his specialization in Otolaryngology in 2013 at the A’ University Otolaryngology Clinic (General Hospital of Athens “Hippocrates”). During his residency, he simultaneously trained in Plastic Surgery at the General Hospital of Athens "Gennimatas". Additionally, he completed his doctoral thesis (PhD) on laryngeal cancer. After completing his residency, he remained at “Hippocrates,” gaining experience in head and neck surgeries. Subsequently, he worked for approximately two years as an assistant ENT specialist at the General Hospital "Tzaneio." In 2019, he started and completed a specialization/master's degree in Rhinology. In 2020, he was appointed at the University General Hospital "ATTIKON" as a Second Consultant, where he advanced to the position of First Consultant, which he currently holds. Furthermore, he has published in internationally recognized medical journals (PUBMED) and contributed to the authorship of books. Finally, he has actively participated in numerous medical conferences with lectures, chairmanships, presentations, and posters, as well as in postgraduate and specialist training courses for residents and graduate students.
