Ειδικεύτηκε στην ειδικότητα της Εσωτερικής Παθολογίας για πέντε έτη, από το 1996 έως το 2001, αρχικά στη Παθολογική Κλινική του 424 Γενικού Στρατιωτικού Νοσοκομείου Εκπαιδεύσεως και στη συνέχεια στην Α’ Παθολογική Κλινική του Νομαρχιακού Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Θεσσαλονίκης "Άγιος Δημήτριος", με εκπαίδευση και στη Μονάδα Περιτοναϊκής Κάθαρσης. Ταυτόχρονα συμμετείχε στο υπερτασιολογικό ιατρείο, λαμβάνοντας στο τελευταίο έτος τρίμηνες εκπαιδεύσεις στην Καρδιολογία και την Εντατική Θεραπεία.
