Tsakmakas Dimitrios is a General Surgeon specialized in all anorectal diseases (pilonidal cyst, anal fissure, fistulas) and maintains his private practice in Thessaloniki. He holds a degree from the Medical School of the University of Thessaly. He began his specialization in 2004 as a general surgeon at Panagia Hospital in Thessaloniki for six years. In 2010, he obtained his specialization in General Surgery and subsequently served as a Surgeon - Consultant in endocrine glands at the Department of Endocrine Surgery, Addenbrookes University Hospital, Cambridge, UK. He is affiliated with all private clinics in the city, including the Medical Interbalkan Center, Euromedica Blue Cross, Agios Loukas, Bioclinic Thessaloniki, Euromedica General Clinic, and Genesis Clinic.
In March 2012, he earned his PhD from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a thesis entitled "Correlation of Oxidative Stress and Thyroid Diseases." He worked as a collaborator with Professor of Surgery at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Dr. Ioannis Kanellos, for one year and with the Director of Surgery at Panagia Hospital, Dr. Michail Naoum, until 2015, as well as collaborating with the former Director of the Surgical Clinic at General Hospital of Ioannina "G. Hatzikosta," Dr. Evangelos Tsimogiannis, from 2013 to the present.
