Κατά τη διάρκεια της παραμονής του εκεί αποκτά εμπειρία και υψηλού βαθμού εξειδίκευση, συμμετέχοντας και διενεργώντας πλήθος ανοιχτών, λαπαροσκοπικών και ρομποτικά υποβοηθούμενων χειρουργικών επεμβάσεων. Παράλληλα όλα αυτά τα χρόνια, στα πλαίσια των κλινικών και ακαδημαϊκών του υποχρεώσεων στην Α' Προπαιδευτική Χειρουργική Κλινική ΑΠΘ του ΠΓΝΘ ΑΧΕΠΑ, διδάσκει στους προπτυχιακούς και μεταπτυχιακούς φοιτητές της Ιατρικής Σχολής ΑΠΘ, εκπονεί τη Διδακτορική του διατριβή με θέμα την ποιότητα ζωής των ασθενών με Πρωτοπαθή Υπερπαραθυρεοειδισμό και ολοκληρώνει τη Μεταδιδακτορική του Έρευνα με θέμα το επίπεδο καταθλιπτικής συνδρομής και ποιότητας της ζωής σε ασθενείς με κακοήθεια πεπτικού. Το επιστημονικό του ενδιαφέρον είναι έντονο με πάνω από 70 δημοσιεύσεις σε αναγνωρισμένα διεθνή Ιατρικά περιοδικά και πλήθος συμμετοχών τόσο με προφορικές ανακοινώσεις όσο και με posters σε συνέδρια της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού.
