Endocrinologists

Ο Μαλλιόπουλος Δημοσθένης είναι Ενδοκρινολόγος και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στην Ηλιούπολη. Είναι πτυχιούχος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης και της Στρατιωτικής Σχολής Αξιωματικών Σωμάτων. Επιπλέον, είναι κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος Ειδίκευσης με θέμα "Έρευνα στη γυναικεία αναπαραγωγή" από την Ιατρική Σχολή Αθηνών. Εκπαιδεύτηκε στο τμήμα επειγόντων περιστατικών του Madigan Army Medical Center-Washington, το οποίο είναι ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα στρατιωτικά νοσοκομεία στις ΗΠΑ. Μετά το πέρας της εκπαίδευσης εργάστηκε ως ιατρός σε Στρατιωτικό Νοσοκομείο του ΝΑΤΟ στην Καμπούλ του Αφγανιστάν, όπου του απενεμήθη τιμητικό μετάλλιο για τις προσφερθείσες υπηρεσίες. Υπηρέτησε ως Υπίατρος για δύο έτη σε μονάδα καταδρομών στο Μεγάλο Πεύκο Αττικής και είναι αλεξιπτωτιστής. Για την ειδικότητα της ενδοκρινολογίας εκπαιδεύτηκε αρχικά επί 2 έτη στη Β’ Παθολογική Κλινική - Διαβητολογικό Κέντρο του Νοσοκομείου ΝΙΜΤΣ με διευθυντή τον γνωστό Διαβητολόγο Δρ Μυγδάλη Ηλία, δίπλα στον οποίο απέκτησε μεγάλη εμπειρία στο χειρισμό ασθενών με σακχαρώδη διαβήτη. Στη συνέχεια, εργάστηκε ως ειδικευόμενος ενδοκρινολόγος στη Μονάδα Ενδοκρινολογίας, Μεταβολισμού και Διαβήτη της Α’ Παιδιατρικής Κλινικής Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Παίδων "Αγία Σοφία’", με διευθυντή τον παγκοσμίως γνωστό για το επιστημονικό του έργο Καθηγητή Κο Χρούσο Γεώργιο με τον οποίο συνεργάστηκε στενά το ίδιο διάστημα παρακολουθώντας παιδιά με ενδοκρινοπάθειες στη Μονάδα Ενδοκρινολογίας, Μεταβολισμού και Διαβήτη του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών στο Ευγενίδειο Θεραπευτήριο. Η εκπαίδευση του στην ενδοκρινολογία ολοκληρώθηκε στην Ενδοκρινολογική Κλινική - Διαβητολογικό Κέντρο του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών "Γ. Γεννηματάς". Κατά την ειδίκευση του εκεί απέκτησε μεγάλη εμπειρία στην παρακολούθηση ασθενών από όλο το φάσμα της ενδοκρινολογίας και κυρίως αυτών με παθήσεις επινεφριδίων και ενδοκρινικής υπέρτασης που είναι και το επιστημονικό ενδιαφέρον της συγκεκριμένης κλινικής. Έλαβε τον τίτλο της ειδικότητας της ενδοκρινολογίας τον Ιούλιο του 2014. Εργάστηκε επί 4 έτη ως Επιμελητής του Ενδοκρινολογικού Ιατρείου στο Νοσοκομείο ΝΙΜΤΣ. Σε αυτό το διάστημα, έλαβε 6μηνη εκπαίδευση στους υπερήχους θυρεοειδούς στο Αντικαρκινικό - Ογκολογικό Νοσοκομείο "Μεταξά". Από το 2020 μέχρι σήμερα εργάζεται ως Επιμελητής στην Ενδοκρινολογική Κλινική του 401 Γενικού Στρατιωτικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών και έχει το βαθμό του Αντισυνταγματάρχη. Έχει ενεργό συμμετοχή σε επιστημονικές εργασίες και στη συγγραφή άρθρων σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά, ενώ έχει παρουσιάσεις σε ενδοκρινολογικά συνέδρια. Συνεχίζει την εκπαίδευση του με την τακτική συμμετοχή σε ετήσια σεμινάρια της Ευρωπαϊκής (Εuropean Society of Endocrinology) και Αμερικάνικης Ενδοκρινολογικής Εταιρίας (Endocrine Society) των οποίων και είναι μέλος. Επίσης είναι ενεργό μέλος της Ελληνικής Ενδοκρινολογικής Εταιρείας και της Ελληνικής Διαβητολογικής Εταιρείας. Τέλος, από το 2014 είναι επιστημονικά υπεύθυνος του Ενδοκρινολογικού τμήματος του Πολυϊατρείου Lifecheck Ηλιούπολης.

Dr. Kaza Maria, MD, MSc, PhD, is a Endocrinologist – Diabetologist | Metabolism Specialist and maintains a private practice in Gerakas. Zontanos Fotis is an Endocrinologist who has maintained a private practice in Neos Kosmos since 2002. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in Endocrinology at the University Clinic of Pathology - Physiology of the General Hospital of Athens “Laiko.” He is specialized in diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, as well as menstrual disorders. Panagiotis Mylonas MD is an Endocrinologist with a private practice in Patras. He holds a PhD in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes Mellitus from the University of Patras. Since January 2022, she has been an academic fellow at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she has been involved in clinical and teaching activities. Furthermore, as a member of the interdisciplinary team at the Center of Excellence for Neuroendocrine Diseases at the University of Athens at Laiko Hospital, she actively participates in Medical Board meetings, where interesting patient cases are discussed with the aim of accurate diagnostic and therapeutic management of patients with neuroendocrine diseases. She also serves as an instructor in the postgraduate program "Endocrine Neoplasms".

Ο Τσιτσιμπής Αναστάσης MD, MSc είναι Στρατιωτικός ιατρός - Ενδοκρινολόγος, επιμελητής του ενδοκρινολογικού τμήματος του 401 ΓΣΝΑ, υπηρετεί στο Επίλεκτο Τμήμα Αλεξιπτωτιστών των Ειδικών Δυνάμεων και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στην πόλη της Λαμίας.

Αποφοίτησε από την Στρατιωτική Σχολή Αξιωματικών Σωμάτων (ΣΣΑΣ) και την Ιατρική Σχολή του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης και ολοκλήρωσε την ειδικότητα της Ενδοκρινολογίας στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Ερυθρός Σταυρός «Κοργιαλένειο–Μπενάκειο».  Κατά την διάρκεια της ειδικότητας διακρίθηκε με το Ά Βραβείο σε Πανελλήνιο διαγωνισμό για ειδικευόμενους ενδοκρινολογίας.

Τιμήθηκε από την Ελληνική Ενδοκρινολογική Εταιρεία με υποτροφία και εκπαιδεύτηκε στον Σακχαρώδη Διαβήτη και την παχυσαρκία στο Harvard University, Joslin Diabetes Center , ένα από τα κορυφαία κέντρα παγκοσμίως στον τομέα του διαβήτη.

Επιπλέον, κατέχει Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα (MSc), με άριστα, στην Υπολογιστική Ιατρική και Βιοπληροφορική από το Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας, έχοντας ερευνητικό έργο πάνω στις «Ενδοκρινικές ανεπιθύμητες ενέργειες της ανοσοθεραπείας στον καρκίνο», που είναι από τις πιο σύγχρονες και απαιτητικές κατευθύνσεις της Ιατρικής σήμερα.

Afentoulidi Katerina is an Endocrinologist who maintains a private practice in the areas of Zografou and Gerakas. Ο Πλούταρχος Τζούλης, Ενδοκρινολόγος – Διαβητολόγος, είναι επίτιμος Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής Ενδοκρινολογίας στην Ιατρική Σχολή του UCL (University College London). Έλαβε τον ιδιαιτέρως τιμητικό τίτλο του FRCP (Lon) από το Βασιλικό Κολλέγιο των Παθολόγων το 2022 σε αναγνώριση της 18ετούς συμβολής του στην πρόοδο της ιατρικής επιστήμης μέσω της κλινικής και ερευνητικής του δραστηριότητας στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία. Επιπλέον του ερευνητικού και διδακτικού του έργου στnν Ιατρική Σχολή του UCL, που συγκαταλέγεται στις 10 κορυφαίες ιατρικές σχολές παγκοσμίως, συνεχίζει το κλινικό του έργο τόσο στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία, εκτελώντας καθήκοντα Διευθυντή στην Ενδοκρινολογική και Παθολογική Κλινική του Νοσοκομείου Whittington του Λονδίνου, όσο και στην Ελλάδα, στη Γενική και Μαιευτική Κλινική ΙΑΣΩ.

Έλαβε  μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο MSc (Hons) στην Κλινική Ενδοκρινολογία από το Barts & the London School of Medicine, Queen Mary University of London. Aκολούθως, έγινε διδάκτορας (PhD, Doctor of Philosophy) στην Ιατρική Σχολή του UCL μετά την ολοκλήρωση σειράς κλινικών μελετών και της διδακτορικής διατριβής του με θέμα τη διερεύνηση και θεραπεία της υπονατριαιμίας.

Συνεχίζει το ερευνητικό του έργο με βάση το UCL και πλήθος διεθνών συνεργασιών με περισσότερες από 55 δημοσιεύσεις σε έγκριτα διεθνή περιοδικά και περισσότερες από 50 παρουσιάσεις εργασιών και ομιλίες σε βρετανικά, ευρωπαϊκά και αμερικάνικα ιατρικά συνέδρια. Έχει μεγάλη εμπειρία στη διάγνωση και αντιμετώπιση όλου του φάσματος των ενδοκρινολογικών παθήσεων και διαβήτη και το πρωταρχικό του μέλημα είναι η προσφορά υψηλού επιπέδου εξατομικευμένων υπηρεσιών υγείας με βασικό γνώμονα την Ιατρική με βάση την πιο επικαιροποιημένη επιστημονική γνώση (Evidence - Based Medicine).

Mintziori Gesthimani is an Endocrinologist. She received her Medical Degree (2004) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School (AUTh) and immediately afterwards she received her M.Sc. Degree (Medical Research Methodology, AUTh; 2006). In 2014 she completed her PhD with distinction (AUTh). Gesthimani Mintziori is an author of many peer-reviewed articles, an Associate Editor in the journal Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Case Reports and member of efditorial board and a Review Editor in many peer-reviewed journals in the fields of endocrinology and reproduction. She participates as a tutor at the pre- and post-graduate curriculum of the AUTh Medical School. She is now working as a Post-Doc Researcher in the Unit of Reproductive Endocrinology of the First Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, AUTh and runs her own Private Endocrine Practice in Thessaloniki city center. She has been distinguished for her scientific work (Scholarship of Excellence for AUTh PhD Candidates, State Scholarship Foundation Postgraduate Research Scholarship). She was a founding member and a co-Chair of the European Young Endocrine Scientists (EYES), a member of the Education Committee, the Clinical Committee and the Executive Board Committee of the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE). Her particular areas of scientific interest are Reproductive Endocrinology and Thyroid, with an emphasis on infertility and the relationship between thyroid function and in vitro fertilization.

Oikonomidou Christina is a specialist endocrinologist-diabetologist, with a clinic in Karditsa. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and continued her training in endocrinology-diabetology at the Endocrinology-Diabetology Clinic of the Polyclinic Hospital of Athens, as well as in the Obesity Department of the University Clinic of Laiko Hospital of Athens. She also trained in the use of ultrasound at the Athens General Hospital "Evangelismos," as well as in pediatric endocrinology and adolescent endocrinology at the Children's Hospital Agia Sofia. She specializes in thyroid and parathyroid gland disorders, type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, and gestational diabetes. Maria Pissia is an Endocrinologist - Diabetologist and maintains a private practice in Nikaia. She completed her medical studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Keramidas Ioannis is an Endocrinologist with a private practice in Pangrati. He holds a medical degree from Ovidius University in Romania and completed a 2-year postgraduate program in "International Medicine - Health Crisis Management" at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
