Ο Γεώργιος Πολονύφης είναι Ορθοπαιδικός Χειρουργός, διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στην Αθήνα ενώ παράλληλα είναι Διευθυντής της Ορθοπαιδικής Κλινικής στο Ιατρικό κέντρο Περιστερίου.
