Αποφοίτησε από το Αμερικανικό Κολλέγιο Ελλάδος “Pierce College” και στη συνέχεια από την Ιατρική Σχολή του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Στη συνέχεια είχε την τιμή να υπηρετήσει στο Πολεμικό Ναυτικό ως Δίοπος Ιατρός της Α’ Χειρουργικής Κλινικής ΝΝΑ (Ναυτικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών) και ως Ιατρός των Μονάδων ΣΔΑΜ, ΒΕΝ και ΚΣΑΝ.

Ξεκίνησε την ειδικότητα της Γενικής Χειρουργικής στη Β’ Χειρουργική Κλινική του ΓΝΑ «Γ. ΓΕΝΝΗΜΑΤΑΣ» και στη συνέχεια εκπαιδεύτηκε στην Πλαστική Χειρουργική στο διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο “Hadassah Medical Center" της Ιερουσαλήμ.

Εκεί, σε διάρκεια τεσσάρων ετών, εξερεύνησε και εμβάθυνε στον κόσμο της Πλαστικής, Επανορθωτικής και Αισθητικής Χειρουργικής, όπου η επιστήμη συναντά την τέχνη, αναγνωρίζοντας την ιδιαίτερη ισορροπία ανάμεσα στη χειρουργική ακρίβεια και την αισθητική αρμονία που τη χαρακτηρίζει.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της ειδικότητάς του, εξειδικεύτηκε σε όλο το φάσμα των επεμβάσεων της πλαστικής χειρουργικής και εκπαιδεύτηκε από τους πλέον διακεκριμένους πλαστικούς χειρουργούς του Ισραήλ, ενώ τελείωσε επιτυχώς την ειδικότητά του με περισσότερες από 3.500 επεμβάσεις στο ενεργητικό του. Αυτές συμπεριλαμβάνουν αισθητικές επεμβάσεις προσώπου, μαστού και σώματος, επανορθωτικές επεμβάσεις εγκαυματιών, τραυματιών, καρκινοπαθών και παιδιών με συγγενείς ανωμαλίες, επεμβάσεις άκρας χείρας, καθώς και πληθώρα επεμβάσεων μικροχειρουργικής αποκατάστασης.

Μετά το πέρας της εκπαίδευσής του, ο Δρ. Μπουρούνης επέστρεψε στην Ελλάδα και απέκτησε και επίσημα τον τίτλο ειδικότητας Πλαστικής, Επανορθωτικής και Αισθητικής Χειρουργικής, έπειτα από την επιτυχή ολοκλήρωση των εξετάσεων.

Έχει λάβει πιστοποιήσεις σε προηγμένες τεχνικές της αισθητικής ιατρικής, όπως ενέσιμες θεραπείες Botox (βοτουλινικής τοξίνης), δερματικών εμφυτευάτων (fillers), μεσοθεραπειών, skin boosters, liquid facelift, και σε μη επεμβατικές θεραπείες προσώπου.

George Karampelias is a medical doctor specialized in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT). His professional journey began in 2015 when he served as a Military Doctor in Greece. That same year, he joined the General Oncological Hospital of Kifisia "Agioi Anargyroi" as a Resident in General Surgery, a position he held until March 2017.From March 2017 to March 2018, he worked as a Resident in Otorhinolaryngology at the General Children’s Hospital of Penteli and then continued his specialization at the General Hospital of Athens "Elpis" until May 2021. He also presented rare clinical cases, such as unilateral keratosis obturans in a 12-year-old boy and hearing manifestations in Wolfram syndrome.In the same year, he participated in the 24th ENT Educational Conference with presentations on the training of ENT residents and the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for sudden sensorineural hearing loss. In 2019, he presented a large cystic lesion of the maxilla involving eight teeth at the 19th Seminar of the Hellenic Rhinologic Society. She specialized in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the ENT Clinic of the Naval Hospital of Athens, where she was trained in a large number of cases and surgical procedures. She further specialized in pediatric ENT at the General Children's Hospital of Athens "Agia Sofia." She has participated in specialized training concerning the management of nasal diseases (FESS - Endoscopic Sinus Surgery) and surgical ear conditions. She has particular expertise in tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy (ear tubes), rhinoplasty and nasal septum surgery (septoplasty), as well as endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS). In her private practice, she manages otolaryngological cases in both children and adults, performing comprehensive endoscopic and audiological evaluations. Finally, she has participated as a speaker and attendee in numerous seminars and conferences in her specialty and serves as an external collaborating surgeon at the ENT Clinic of Athens and at IASO Children’s Hospital.
