Διαθέτει ιδιαίτερο κλινικό και ερευνητικό ενδιαφέρον στην αντιμετώπιση των παθήσεων του ώμου με σύγχρονες τεχνικές ελάχιστης επεμβατικότητας, προηγμένες αρθροσκοπικές μεθόδους και καινοτόμα βιολογικά πρωτόκολλα, με στόχο τη γρήγορη λειτουργική αποκατάσταση και τη μακροχρόνια σταθερότητα του ώμου. Το 2018 μετεκπαιδεύτηκε στη Λυών της Γαλλίας σε ένα από τα κορυφαία κέντρα χειρουργικής ώμου παγκοσμίως, το Centre Orthopédique Santy – FIFA Medical Center of Excellence, όπου ολοκλήρωσε το Shoulder Clinical Fellowship. Κατά τη διάρκεια της μετεκπαίδευσής του εργάστηκε επίσης στο Hôpital Privé Jean Mermoz, αποκτώντας πρακτική εμπειρία σε εξειδικευμένες επεμβάσεις ώμου, σύνθετες βλάβες τενοντίου πετάλου, αστάθειες, αντιμετώπιση καταγμάτων και επανορθωτικές τεχνικές αρθροπλαστικής υψηλής δυσκολίας, υπό την καθοδήγηση διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένων χειρουργών. Έχει παρουσιάσει επιστημονικές εργασίες, τεχνικές και κλινικά δεδομένα σε πολυάριθμα συνέδρια στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό, συμβάλλοντας στη διάδοση της σύγχρονης αρθροσκοπικής χειρουργικής και της ελάχιστα επεμβατικής προσέγγισης στις αθλητικές κακώσεις και στις παθήσεις του ώμου. Επίσης έχει υπάρξει εκπαιδευτής νεότερων Ιατρών στις πιο σύγχρονες χειρουργικές τεχνικές αντιμετώπισης του συνόλου της παθολογίας του ώμου. Από το 2025 κατέχει τη θέση του Υποδιευθυντή της Γ’ Ορθοπαιδικής Κλινικής του Νοσοκομείου ΥΓΕΙΑ, συμμετέχοντας ενεργά στη λειτουργία της Κλινικής, στην ανάπτυξη θεραπευτικών πρωτοκόλλων και στη διαχείριση σύνθετων περιστατικών. Παράλληλα, αποτελεί μέλος της επιστημονικής ομάδας του Athens Shoulder Institute, συμμετέχοντας: στο Τμήμα Εκπαίδευσης (Education and Training) για την ανάπτυξη και διδασκαλία σύγχρονων τεχνικών χειρουργικής ώμου, στο Τμήμα Οργάνωσης και Κλινικού Έργου, συμβάλλοντας στον συντονισμό, στην παροχή υψηλού επιπέδου κλινικών υπηρεσιών και στην ενιαία στρατηγική του Κέντρου, στο Τμήμα Προβολής και Ενημέρωσης, με στόχο την επιστημονική εξωστρέφεια, τη δημιουργία εκπαιδευτικού υλικού και την αναβάθμιση της παρουσίας του Κέντρου στην ιατρική κοινότητα. Διατηρεί ιατρείο Ελάχιστα Επεμβατικής Χειρουργικής στη Γλυφάδα και το Μαρούσι όπου αντιμετωπίζει εξειδικευμένα παθήσεις ώμου και γόνατος, αθλητικές κακώσεις και σύνθετα ορθοπαιδικά περιστατικά, εφαρμόζοντας εξατομικευμένες, τεκμηριωμένες και βιολογικά ενισχυμένες θεραπευτικές προσεγγίσεις.

Ailamakis Nikolaos is an Orthopedic Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Chalandri and holds a position as a consultant at the 2nd Orthopedic Clinic of Errikos Dynan Hospital Center. He holds a medical degree from the Medical School of the University of Crete and is specialized in Arthroplasty, fracture management, upper and lower limb surgery, Sports Injuries, Shoulder – Hip – Knee pathologies, and Pediatric Orthopedics. He covers the entire spectrum of Orthopedics and Traumatology using the most modern treatment methods, either surgical and/or conservative depending on indications. Additionally, he offers a range of services, including osteoporosis screening, fracture management and follow-up, treatment of spinal and limb disorders, wound suturing and repair, and cast application. Topkas Athanasios MD, MSc is an Orthopedic Surgeon - Sports Medicine Specialist, affiliated with the Orthopedic Clinic of "Hygeia" Hospital, and maintains a private practice in Marousi. He graduated with honors from the Medical School of Varna University and holds a Master's degree in Metabolic Bone Diseases from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He began his specialization in Orthopedic Surgery - Traumatology at the General Prefectural Hospital of Edessa and continued his training at the 1st IKA Hospital of Athens and the General Attica Hospital KAT. He worked as a Registrar B at the Sports Injuries Department of the General Attica Hospital KAT and subsequently as a Registrar B in the 2nd Hand Surgery and Microsurgery Department of the same hospital. During his specialization and tenure, he specialized in all surgeries related to the upper limb and the hand. Additionally, he specialized in Sports Medicine, with a particular emphasis on knee arthroscopy and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ligament injuries of the knee). To date, Dr. Topkas remains a Scientific Collaborator of numerous private hospitals and groups such as Hygeia Hospital, the Biomed Group, the Athens and Piraeus Bioclinic, the Euromedica Group, the Errikos Dynan Hospital Center, the Mediterraneo Hospital, the Athenian Clinic, and the Athens Medical Group. Throughout his medical career, he has actively participated in the development of numerous studies, which have been presented at Greek and international conferences, and has contributed to the authorship of publications.
