Υπηρέτησε ως Επιμελητής ΩΡΛ στο Σισμανόγλειο Νοσοκομείο συμμετέχοντας στην αντιμετώπιση της πανδημίας Covid-19.

Στο πλήρως εξοπλισμένο ιατρείο που διατηρεί επί της Πτολεμαίου 14 στον Άγιο Δημήτριο εξετάζει όλο το ηλικιακό φάσμα (ενήλικες και παιδιά) και αναλαμβάνει περιστατικά που αφορούν όλα τα πεδία της ΩΡΛ. Με τη βοήθεια εξοπλισμού τελευταίας τεχνολογίας (εύκαμπτα και άκαμπτα video-ενδοσκόπια, μικροσκόπιο, τυμπανογράφος, ακοογράφος, μηχάνημα ραδιοσυχνοτήτων κ.α) πραγματοποιείται διάγνωση και θεραπεία παθήσεων όπως δυσχέρεια ρινικής αναπνοής, υπνική άπνοια, ροχαλητό, υποτροπιάζουσα αμυγδαλίτιδα, υπερτροφία αδενοειδών εκβλαστήσεων, βράγχος φωνής, χρόνια ωτίτιδα, βαρηκοΐα, εμβοές, ίλιγγος, παθήσεις σιελογόνων αδένων και θυρεοειδούς. Συνεργάζεται και χειρουργεί σε γνωστά ιδιωτικά θεραπευτήρια των Αθηνών.

Παράλληλα με την επαγγελματική του ενασχόληση και στο πλαίσιο της συνεχούς επιμόρφωσης συμμετέχει ενεργά σε συνέδρια τόσο στην Ελλάδα όσο και το εξωτερικό και πραγματοποιεί χειρουργικά σεμινάρια και courses ώστε να παρέχει υπηρεσίες υψηλών προδιαγραφών στους ασθενείς του. Ο Οικονομίδης Ιάκωβος είναι Ωτορινολαρυγγολόγος (ΩΡΛ) Χειρουργός Κεφαλής και Τραχήλου Παίδων και Ενηλίκων. Εργάζεται ως Επιμελητής Α' στο Γ.Ν.Α. "Κοργιαλένειο Μπενάκειο - Ελληνικός Ερυθρός Σταυρός" και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στους Αμπελόκηπους. Georgios Telios is an Otolaryngologist and maintains a private practice in Piraeus. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He completed his specialty training at the Anti-Cancer Hospital of Piraeus "Metaxa" and at the General Hospital of Athens "Elpis" and subsequently worked for 5 years in the United Kingdom in responsible positions within the British National Health Service. There, he specialized in Ear Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery for neck tumors, Nasal Surgery - Rhinoplasty - Endoscopic Nasal Surgery, and Pediatric Otolaryngology.
