Polykseni Kalisperati is a Gastroenterologist with extensive clinical experience and a strong academic/research background, aiming to provide comprehensive and personalized care to each patient at her private practice. Kapetanakis Nikolaos MD, PhD is a Gastroenterologist and operates a private Gastroenterology Center in Volos. He holds a PhD from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in colorectal cancer, specifically the role of Helicobacter pylori in colorectal carcinogenesis. Gastroenterologist – Hepatologist M.D.

I am Alexandros Spyrantis, Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist M.D., with a private practice in Ilioupoli, Athens. I am also a Gastroenterologist Associate at the 1st Department of Gastroenterology and Interventional Endoscopy at IASO General Clinic.

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Latvia in Riga and subsequently completed my specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Greece. My specialist training included the Hepato-Gastroenterology Department of G.O.N.K. “Agioi Anargyroi”, as well as clinical training at the Gastroenterology Department of General Hospital of Nikaia “Agios Panteleimon”. Prior to specialising in Gastroenterology, I trained in Internal Medicine, gaining broad clinical experience in the overall assessment and management of patients.

Gastrointestinal endoscopy is a particular area of professional interest. I have completed the Hellenic Gastroenterology Society’s Endoscopy School and have participated in hands-on training in invasive endoscopic techniques. I also regularly participate in scientific conferences and educational programmes in Greece and abroad, with a focus on Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy.

In my clinical practice, I assess and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, indigestion, gastritis, Helicobacter pylori infection, peptic ulcer disease, abdominal pain, bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diarrhoea and changes in bowel habits. For this reason, I aim to give each patient sufficient time to discuss their symptoms, concerns and expectations. I explain the diagnosis and available treatment options in clear and understandable terms, while tailoring the medical approach to each individual patient.

My approach combines current medical knowledge with personalised care. I believe that effective medical care should take into account not only the clinical findings and scientific evidence, but also the individual needs and circumstances of each patient.

Alongside my clinical work, I maintain an active interest in medical research and continuing professional education. Dr. Zogas Nikolaos is a Gastroenterologist - Hepatologist with a clinic in Kallithea and an external collaborator of some of the largest private clinics in Athens where he performs endoscopy. He graduated from the University of Udine in Italy. He served as Director at the Department of Pathology and Gastroenterology of the University Hospital in Umeå, Västerbotten, Sweden, where he obtained two specialty titles (recognized by the Greek Authorities): Gastroenterology - Hepatology and Internal Medicine. Additionally, he is a PhD candidate at the University of Umeå, where he also served as a trainer for medical residents and nurses at the Medicinkliniken and holds, among others, certification from the two-year program Grundläggande Forskningsmetodik för läkare. He has many years of experience in monitoring hepatology patients and is particularly specialized in clinical (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, diarrheal syndromes, constipation, celiac disease, Helicobacter pylori, collagenous gastritis, etc.) and interventional gastroenterology with numerous difficult endoscopies, polypectomies, and other interventional procedures. He has specific expertise in interventional procedures such as large polyp polypectomies with EMR, balloon enteroscopy (double or single balloon enteroscopy), esophageal variceal ligation, dilation of gastrointestinal strictures, gastrostomy placement (PEG), and others. He served as a consultant in the Gastroenterology Department of the hospital "Elpis" until the end of 2020.

Dr. Stefanos Tarazis is a Gastroenterologist – Hepatologist, MD, PhD, with extensive experience in clinical gastroenterology and interventional endoscopy. He first graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, before completing his Medical Degree at the University of Ioannina. In 1997, he obtained his PhD from the Medical School of the University of Athens and received his specialization in Gastroenterology the same year. Later, in 2022, he also earned a specialization in Clinical Pharmacology. He completed his subspecialty training in Interventional Endoscopy at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, United Kingdom.Dr. Tarazis began his professional career at the Rural Medical Clinic of Derviziana in Ioannina and went on to train in Internal Medicine at the General Hospital of Patission and in Gastroenterology at the NIMTS Hospital in Athens. During his time in the UK, he served as H. Registrar at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, gaining advanced clinical and endoscopic expertise. Since 1998, he has been practicing as a private gastroenterologist in Athens. From 2005 to 2015, he served as a Scientific Associate at Evangelismos Hospital, and since 2015, he has held the position of Director of Clinical Trials and Adverse Drug Reactions at the National Organization for Medicines (EOF). Giannousis Ioannis MD, PhD is a Specialist Gastroenterologist - Hepatologist - Interventional Endoscopist based in Gerakas, maintaining a private practice there.
