Dr. Nikolopoulos Ioannis, MD, MSc, is an Orthopedic Surgeon, graduate of the Medical School of the University of Ioannina, with a Master's degree in Metabolic Bone Diseases. He is a Scientific Associate - Orthopedic Surgeon at Metropolitan Hospital and maintains private practices in Aspropyrgos and at the Medica Polyclinic in Agios Stefanos. Dr. Tsapakidis Giannis was born in Larisa in 1975 and graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2000. He completed his Orthopedic specialty residency at Tzaneio General Hospital of Piraeus, with part of his training conducted at KAT Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital in London. He received a scholarship from AO and worked as a Fellow at the Sports Injuries and Trauma Center of Queens Medical Centre University Hospital in Nottingham. He is a PhD candidate at the University of Athens and a member of AO ALUMNI. Since 2006, he has served as the team physician for the women's basketball team “ESPERIDES” Kallithea (Women’s A1 Basketball Champion for 2006-07 and 2008-09 and Greek Cup Winner for 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08, and 2008-09). From 2015 to 2018, he was part of the medical team covering orthopedic concerns for the athletes of KAE AEK. Since 2013, he has provided medical coverage for the basketball team PROTEAS VOULAS and from 2015 to 2025 served as the medical provider for the athletes of the basketball team KAE AMAROUSIOU. From 2021 to 2023, he was the team physician for the WOMEN'S NATIONAL BASKETBALL TEAM, and from 2022 to 2024 for the team of PANIONIOS B.C. Previously, he was part of the medical team covering orthopedic needs of the athletes of KAE PANELLINIOS from 2008 to 2011 and the Cultural and Sports Center “DAIS.” Subsequently, from 2018 to 2022, he provided medical coverage to the athletes of MELLISION and since 2018 to the athletes of ESPEROS B.C. Dr. Diakatos Andreas is an Orthopedic Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Ilioupoli. He was born in Athens. He began his specialty training in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Asklipiio Voulas Hospital. Papadakis Mixalis is an Orthopedic Surgeon with a private practice in Koukaki. He graduated from the Medical School of Pilsen, Charles University of Prague, and specialized in Orthopedics at the 2nd Orthopedic Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He completed his doctoral thesis at the Medical School of the University of Crete and is certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound by the European League Against Rheumatism. Georgios Sxinas MD, MSc, PhD is an Orthopedic Surgeon with a private practice in Pefki. He holds a doctorate from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in Surgical Orthopedics, and completed advanced training in total joint arthroplasties at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York, supported by a scholarship from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. As a scholar, he also trained in the sports injuries department of the KAT General Hospital, where he gained extensive surgical experience in sports injuries in both diagnosis and treatment. Stathellis Apostolos MD, PhD is an Orthopedic Surgeon - Sports Medicine Specialist with expertise in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, elbow, and ankle, as well as sports injuries. He graduated with honors from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a PhD from the University of Ulm in Germany. Dr. Totlis Tryfon is an Orthopedic Surgeon - Sports Medicine Specialist, PhD holder, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He holds a Scholarship of Excellence from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has been awarded 7 scholarships/training fellowships in Greece and abroad, including at Rush University Hospital in Chicago, USA, and St. Anna Hospital in Herne, Germany. At these clinics, he specialized in arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, and ankle, as well as joint replacement with prostheses (arthroplasty). He has an extensive scientific portfolio, having authored more than 270 studies and 90 scientific articles in Greek and international journals and is frequently invited as a speaker for lectures both in Greece and internationally. He is a member of the board of directors of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy (ESSKA/EKA), vice president of the Hellenic Society for the Study of Regenerative Medicine, and a board member of the Hellenic Sports Medicine Society, as well as an active member of other international and national scientific societies. He was part of the medical team of the football club PAOK FC in the Superleague from 2016 to 2019 and serves as a consulting orthopedic surgeon for numerous teams across various sports and levels. Sarantos Konstantinos MD, FRCS, is the Director of the 7th Orthopedic Clinic at YGEIA Hospital and maintains private practices in central Athens, Marousi, and Kranidi. He is an official trainer of the MAKO Robotic System and the minimally invasive technique “SuperPath” in Europe for Hip and Knee Arthroplasties and has trained over 450 surgeons from Europe and beyond in more than 45 educational courses. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina and is a Consultant - Head Orthopedic Surgeon at Coventry and Warwick University Hospital in the United Kingdom and a member of the British Royal College of Surgeons. He specialized and received further training in the United Kingdom in hip and knee surgeries. Additionally, he completed further training in the minimally invasive hip technique, "SuperPath®", in the United States and subsequently performed the first surgery in Europe and the United Kingdom of a total hip arthroplasty using the "SuperPath®" technique in 2014. Dr. Giannakos Athanasios-Rene S. is specialized in arthroscopic surgery of sports-related knee and shoulder injuries, as well as in M.I.S. Fast Track total knee and hip arthroplasty. He initiated and completed his Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology residency at the University General Hospital of Larissa in the Orthopedic Clinic Department under the direction of Professor K.N. Malizos. He is a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the University of Thessaly. During the final year of his residency, he trained in shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery at the Minimal Access Surgery Unit of the I.R.C.C.S. GSD Hospital, Milan, Italy, under Professor and Director Prof. Pietro Randelli. He also trained in M.I.S. GSD Hospital, Milan, Italy, under Professor and Director Prof. Pietro Randelli. He began his Sports Medicine specialty at the University Hospital Catanzaro, Italy, following entrance exams, holding a salaried position and scholarship from the E.U., under the direction of Professor Pietro Scotto di Vettimo. During the first year of the specialty, he trained at the University Hospital Chieti, Italy, in the Sports Medicine Department under the direction of Professor Leonardo Vecchiet. There are articles, lectures, and surgeries by him available online. He collaborates with "Athens Medical Center," "Mitera" Hospital, and Mediterraneo Hospital, and is a scientific collaborator.
