Dr. Maria-Irini Kourakou is a practicing ophthalmologist based in Cholargos, Athens. She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2004–2010), and later completed a Master’s Degree in Medical Imaging in Ophthalmology at the Democritus University of Thrace (2018–2023).She began her professional career with a clinical residency at Hospital Bellvitge in Barcelona, Spain (2012–2013), gaining valuable experience in a high-level international medical environment. Είναι πτυχιούχος της ιατρικής σχολής του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών καθώς και απόφοιτος του τμήματος Οπτικής των ΤΕΙ Αθηνών. Στην διάρκεια του μεταπτυχιακού προγράμματος ο ιατρός απέκτησε σημαντική εμπειρία στην διαθλαστική χειρουργική ως μέλος της ερευνητικής ομάδας του Βαρδινογιάννειου Εργαστηρίου Μεταμοσχεύσεων και Μικροχειρουργικής του Οφθαλμού (ΒΕΜΜΟ, VEIC) στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης. Την διετία 2016 - 2018 εργάστηκε ως Επιμελητής Β' στο Κέντρο Υγείας Σπάτων με την ταυτόχρονη συμμετοχή του στις δραστηριότητες της Β' Οφθαλμολογικής κλινικής του Οφθαλμιατρείου Αθηνών. Lakidis Ophthalmology, whose Scientific Director is Lakidis Vasilis - Ophthalmologist, in collaboration with his son Lakidis Antonis and associates, is an ophthalmology center located in Thessaloniki. Professor Petroutsos Georgios MD, PhD is an Ophthalmic Surgeon with private practices in Athens and Kifisia. He possesses extensive experience in corneal diseases, dry eye syndrome, rheumatic eye disorders, and glaucoma. Surgically, he specializes in cataract surgery and the correction of myopia, astigmatism, hypermetropia, and presbyopia using specialized intraocular lenses. He was appointed Maître de Conférences Agrégé des Universités à titre étranger. In March 1987, he was conferred the title of Professeur des Universités - Praticien Hospitalier à titre étranger. After his three-year stay in France, he worked for various periods at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. He returned from abroad in 1985 and was appointed Chief Ophthalmologist Grade A at the Athens Eye Hospital. From 1986, he worked at the University Hospital of Ioannina as an Assistant Professor and later Associate Professor until 1992. He gained particular expertise in Sjogren’s syndrome through collaboration with the Internal Medicine Clinic and Professor Ch. Moutsopoulos. He has authored three dissertations, over 50 foreign-language scientific publications, and more than 150 Greek publications. From 1992, he served as Director of the Ophthalmology Clinic at the Blue Cross for fifteen years. He currently performs surgery at the specialized Ophthalmology Clinic Hypapanti tou Christou.

Makridakis Dimitrios MD is an Ophthalmic Surgeon with a private practice in Chalkida. The physician specialized at the General State Hospital of Athens "G. Ο Dr Ζησούλης Αιμίλιος MD PhD είναι Χειρουργός Οφθαλμίατρος και Διδάκτωρ Πανεπιστημίου Ιωαννίνων. Το 2010 πέτυχε βαθμολογία ρεκόρ στις πανελλήνιες εξετάσεις με 19780 μόρια και εισήλθε στην Ιατρική σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας. Αποφοίτησε το 2016, 1ος σε σειρά λαμβάνοντας έπαινο και το αριστείο της Ιατρικής Σχολής. Υπηρέτησε τη δωδεκάμηνη στρατιωτική του θητεία (2017-2018) ως υπαξιωματικός ιατρός της Πολεμικής Αεροπορίας υπηρετώντας σε μεγάλο αριθμό μονάδων ανά την επικράτεια. Αναγορεύτηκε Διδάκτορας της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Ιωαννίνων το 2020 με διδακτορική διατριβή επί του γλαυκώματος και βαθμό άριστα καταρρίπτοντας το ρεκόρ μικρότερης ηλικίας γιατρού με διδακτορικό (28 ετών). Εργάζεται από το καλοκαίρι του 2023 ως χειρουργός οφθαλμίατρος στο ιδιωτικό του ιατρείο επί της οδού Ασκληπιού 38 στη Λάρισα και χειρουργεί στην οφθαλμολογική κλινική του ΙΑΣΩ Θεσσαλίας. Έχει ήδη μεγάλη πείρα σε επεμβάσεις κερατόκωνου : cross linking και Kerarings , ενώ διενεργεί με μεγάλη επιτυχία όλες τις επεμβάσεις αφαίρεσης γυαλιών: femtoLASIK, PRK, ICLφακικοί ενδοφακοί και refractive lensectomy. Είναι ένας από τους πρώτους ευρωπαίους οφθαλμίατρους που εκπαιδεύτηκε το 2025 από την ALCON στην Βαρκελώνη σε ένθεση των premium ενδοφακών της Alcon Vivity και Panoptix με τη χρήση του digital marker VERION προσαρμοσμένου επί του μικροσκοπίου Luxor Revalia. Όλος ο παραπάνω ο εξοπλισμός είναι πλέον σε πλήρη χρήση στο Ιασώ Θεσσαλίας. Η προηγμένη αυτή τεχνική αποσκοπεί στην πλήρη απαλλαγή από γυαλιά σε κάθε απόσταση μετά από επέμβαση καταρράκτη. Στις 10/9/2025 τοποθέτησε σε ασθενείς τους πρώτους στην κεντρική Ελλάδα ενδοφακούς Alcon Clareon Vivity προ της επίσημης κυκλοφορίας τους στην ελληνική αγορά. Αποτελούν πρωτοπόρο τεχνολογία κατασκευασμένη στις Η.Π.Α. ικανή να προσφέρει ταυτόχρονα άριστη μακρινή και κοντινή όραση, με στόχο την πλήρη απαλλαγή από κάθε γυαλί όρασης, χωρίς παραγωγή δυσφωτοπικών φαινομένων.
