He holds a PhD in Medicine with distinction from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a medical degree from the same institution. He obtained his specialization in Endocrinology at the "Korgialeneio-Benakeio" Hospital of Athens. He has a significant research portfolio, with original publications in international scientific journals and active participation in numerous endocrinology conferences both in Greece and abroad. Additionally, Dr. Vatalas is a member of the European Society of Endocrinology, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Hellenic Endocrine Society - Panhellenic Association of Endocrinologists, the Hellenic Diabetes Association, the Hellenic Medical Society for Obesity, and the Hellenic Society for the Study of Bone Metabolism.
