Maria Mixailidou MD, FACS, FASCRS is a General Surgeon maintaining a private practice within the HYGEIA Hospital in Marousi. She studied at the Medical School of the University of Patras and continued her medical training in the USA. There, she conducted clinical research in the Department of Emergency Surgery, Trauma, and Critical Care at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, under Harvard University, and specialized in General Surgery at the University of Arizona. Additionally, she specialized in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Penn State University. She is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
