Mykoniatis Ioannis Επίκουρος Καθηγητής, MD, PhD, FEBU

Mykoniatis Ioannis is a Urologist - Andrologist and maintains a private practice in Thessaloniki. He is an Assistant Professor of Urology at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, having previously served as an Assistant Professor (Reader) of Anatomy and Surgical Anatomy in the English-taught undergraduate program, as well as an Academic Fellow in Urology - Andrology at the 1st Urological Clinic of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has successfully completed European-certified training programs in Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and Minimally Invasive Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (mini-PCNL) for the treatment of nephrolithiasis. In 2019-2020, he completed a fellowship in Andrological Surgery in Belgium (Leuven University Urological Clinic) as a fellow of the European Society of Sexual Medicine. He possesses significant surgical experience across the full spectrum of urological procedures, with particular emphasis on Laparoscopic Surgery and Endourology for the treatment of urolithiasis using laser technology, having participated in and performed over 1,200 endourological procedures. Finally, he has an extensive research and academic portfolio, having participated as a researcher in international multicenter studies. This work is reflected in over 100 publications in international peer-reviewed journals (PubMed indexed), as well as presentations at conferences in Greece and abroad as an invited speaker. He also serves as a reviewer for 20 foreign-language journals.
