Ο Ζαχαράτος Παναγιώτης MD, PhD είναι Πνευμονολόγος - Φυματιολόγος. Ξεκίνησε την επαγγελματική του πορεία αποκτώντας βασικές γνώσεις αρχικά Βιολογίας (πτυχίο Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών) και στη συνέχεια Ιατρικής (πτυχίο Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών). Ειδικεύτηκε στην Πνευμονολογία - Φυματιολογία στο Πνευμονολογικό Τμήμα της Α Πανεπιστημιακής Κλινικής Εντατικής Θεραπείας στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών "Ευαγγελισμός". Κατά τη διάρκεια της ειδίκευσης του, πέρα από την εμπειρία στη ΜΕΘ, συμμετείχε στα εξωτερικά ιατρεία "ΧΑΠ" και "Διακοπής Καπνίσματος" του παραπάνω Νοσοκομείου, ενώ αργότερα παρακολούθησε τις εργασίες του Ιατρείου Διαμέσων Νοσημάτων του Νοσοκομείου Νοσημάτων Θώρακος Αθηνών "Σωτηρία".
