Her master's in orthopedic rehabilitation motivated her to deepen her knowledge in acupuncture, leading her to complete studies in 2019 entitled "Acupuncture for Health Professionals" at the University of West Attica (PADE). Later, she earned the title of specialized clinical acupuncture instructor. From 2021 to 2024, she served as Director of the Physiotherapy Department at the Metropolitan College of Heraklion. Since December 2022, she holds the OMT (Orthopaedic Manipulative/Musculoskeletal Therapy) qualification from the internationally certified educational organization Hellenic OMTDiploma (IFOMPT approved). Makri Dimitra is a Physiotherapist - Acupuncturist and operates the private physiotherapy clinic "DMK Physio" in Voula. She holds a degree from the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom and has completed postgraduate studies at Université René Descartes in France, specializing in Sports Physiotherapy. Additionally, she trained in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia in Italy, aiming for a holistic approach to patient treatment. Her clinical practice was conducted in public rehabilitation centers and clinics, as well as at the Bradford Bulls Rugby sports facilities, in collaboration with the National Health Service (NHS) of the UK. During her professional career, she worked as a Physiotherapist at the "Dais" Sports Center, gaining valuable experience.
