Το γιατρό μου τον σύστησε μια φίλη που είχε αντίστοιχο πρόβλημα και είχε βρει άμεσα λύση και θεραπεία με το γιατρό. Ίσως είχα λοιπόν υψηλές προσδοκίες, αλλά προσωπικά αισθάνθηκα ότι δεν είχε να μου προτείνει κάτι με σιγουριά και αυτοπεποίθηση για το αποτέλεσμα. Μου έκανε έναν υπέρηχο χωρίς να μου πει κάτι για τα ευρήματα. Αισθάνθηκα ότι Ίσως δεν είχε διάθεση να με αναλάβει! Έδωσα 70€ απλά για το χρόνο του!

SPECIALIST'S COMMENT

Πρώτο μου μέλημα να είμαι ειλικρινής με τον ασθενή έστω και αν δεν είμαι αρεστός. Σε προβλήματα που στα μάτια των ασθενών μοιάζουν μεταξύ τους, η διάγνωση, άρα και η θεραπευτική προσέγγιση δεν είναι πάντα η ίδια, αλλά εξατομικευμένη. Όσον αφορά στον χρόνιο πόνο και ιδιαίτερα σε ασθενείς με συνοδά προβλήματα υγείας, σπάνια υπάρχει διαγνωστική (πόσω μάλλον θεραπευτική) βεβαιότητα, διότι τα αίτια συνήθως είναι πολυπαραγοντικά. Γι'αυτό και όταν δε βοηθούν οι διαγνωστικές εξετάσεις, μια επιτυχημένη θεραπεία (π.χ. έγχυση) μπορεί να μας λύσει τον διαγνωστικό γρίφο. Στην ασθενή συνταγογραφήθηκε φαρμακευτική θεραπεία, την οποία δεν έχει εκτελέσει έως τώρα. Επιπλέον, της προτάθηκε να γίνει υπερηχογραφικά καθοδηγούμενη έγχυση στο ισχίο και ο υπέρηχος χρησιμοποιήθηκε για να εκτιμηθεί το παράθυρο της έγχυσης και όχι για διαγνωστικούς σκοπούς. Άλλωστε, υπήρχε διαθέσιμη μαγνητική από την άρθρωση, όσον αφορά το διαγνωστικό μέρος. Επίσης, παρέλειψε να έχει μαζί της τη μαγνητική οσφυϊκής μοίρας που είχε διενεργηθεί στα πλαίσια διερεύνησης του προβλήματός της. Μου είπε ότι θα σκεφτεί την πρότασή μου και θα επανέλθει όταν ολοκληρώσει τον κύκλο των φυσικοθεραπειών της. Της εύχομαι ολόψυχα να βρει μια σίγουρη θεραπεία. Το θεωρώ χρέος μου να αναλαμβάνω κάθε ασθενή που μπορώ να βοηθήσω και αυτό δεν εξαρτάται από τη διάθεσή μου. Όταν δεν μπορώ να τον αναλάβω, πάντοτε τον παραπέμπω σε συνάδελφο που κρίνω ότι μπορεί να βοηθήσει. Ευχαριστώ που μου δόθηκε η ευκαιρία να εξηγήσω κάποια πράγματα.
