Mpakogiannis Apostolos MD

Dr. Mpakogiannis Apostolos, MD, is a Mastologist - Breast Surgeon who was raised and received his initial training in Germany. He holds a master's degree (MSc) and a Doctorate in Medicine. He served in the Hellenic Army as a medical officer in TENX units and completed his rural medical practice at the Asklipieio Hospital in southeastern Rhodes. He completed his specialty in General Surgery at the 4th Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos" and at the Breast Center of the Anti-Cancer - Oncology Hospital of Athens "Agios Savvas," where he obtained his board certification as a General Surgeon in 2006. From then until 2013, he worked at the Breast Center of Hygeia Hospital. From 2013 to 2017, he served as the Director of the 3rd Breast Surgery Clinic at IASON General Hospital. Since 2017, he has been the Director of the 2nd Breast Clinic at “Errikos Dynan” Hospital. He has attended conferences worldwide, presented various papers as a speaker, and participated in numerous roundtable discussions as a chairperson focusing on breast diseases. He trained in modern Breast Surgery (sentinel lymph node biopsy, oncoplastic surgery) at the world-renowned Breast Center in Milan under Professor Veronese, as well as at the Breast Center of "Agios Savvas" Hospital. He was among the first surgeons in Greece to engage in oncoplastic surgery and sentinel lymph node biopsy. Finally, Dr. Mpakogiannis is a member of various scientific societies and committees.
