Themis Marinou is a professional in the field of mental health, possessing multifaceted academic and professional training. She holds a degree from the Department of Sociology at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences and specialized diplomas from Mediterranean College in Counseling and Psychology, as well as in Group Counseling and Psychotherapy.
Currently, she is a final-year student in the Master’s Program in Integrative Counseling and Psychotherapy at the University of Derby (UK), and she is also a trainee member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), adhering to the ethical guidelines and standards of the association.
She has attended and completed numerous educational programs and specialized seminars, with a particular focus on Gender-Based Violence and victim support, Grief and Loss Management, as well as contemporary therapeutic approaches, tools, and techniques.
Continuing education and professional development constitute a central pillar of her professional philosophy, as she regularly participates in training sessions and supervision to further enhance her clinical practice.
Since 2021, she has been working as a Psychotherapist and Mental Health Counselor in private therapeutic centers, supporting adults within a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental therapeutic framework. Her aim is to facilitate personal growth, the processing of traumatic experiences, and the strengthening of her clients' psychological resilience.
