Έπειτα έλαβε την επίσημη έμμισθη θέση εξειδίκευσης της Μ. Βρετανίας στη χειρουργική ώμου και αγκώνα (post C.C.T. Clinical Fellowship) στα διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένα κέντρα Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Birmingham 2020-2021 και Royal Orthopaedic Hospital 2021-2022 όπου εκπαιδεύτηκε στις πλέον σύγχρονες τεχνικές αρθροσκόπησης και αρθροπλαστικής ώμου και αγκώνα, πραγματοποιώντας πολυάριθμες επεμβάσεις τόσο στο γενικό πληθυσμό όσο και σε επαγγελματίες αθλητές. Αφού συγκέντρωσε μεγάλη χειρουργική εμπειρία και όγκο περιστατικών, απέκτησε, το 2018, τον τίτλο της εξειδικευμένης τραυματοχειρουργού, από τον αντίστοιχο ιατρικό σύλλογο της Βόρειας Ρηνανίας Βεστφαλίας. Στην συνέχεια ξεκίνησε να συνεργάζεται στενά με την εργατική ομοσπονδία της Γερμανίας (Berfufsgenossenschaft) ως D-Ärztin, στην αντιμετώπιση και περίθαλψη ατόμων με εργατικά ατυχήματα. Είναι εκπαιδεύτρια στο Advanced Trauma Life Support Course (ATLS) από το 2016, και από το 2011 δραστηριοποιείται ως γιατρός επειγόντων (Notärztin) στα ασθενοφόρα του αντίστοιχου γερμανικού ΕΚΑΒ. Το 2021 ξεκίνησε να ασχολείται παράλληλα με την χειροπρακτική (Manuelle Medizin/Manual Therapy) και το 2022 έλαβε την πιστοποίηση ως χειροπρακτικός από την αντίστοιχη γερμανική εταιρεία (MWE & DGMM, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Manuelle Medizin). Georgokostas Athanasios is an Orthopedic Surgeon who maintains private practices in Moschato and Psychiko.
