Από τον Οκτώβριο του 2016 είναι εξεταστής (examiner) στο Queens Hospital Clinical FRCS (Orth) Course. Τον Ιανουάριο του 2011 έλαβε το μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο σπουδών (Master of Science, MSc) με θέμα «Μεταβολικά Νοσήματα των Οστών» μετά από διετή παρακολούθηση και παρουσίαση διατριβής με βαθμό «Άριστα». Είναι απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής Αθηνών (2003 – Εθνικό Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών) Από το 2012 αφοσιώθηκε στο ιδιαίτερο γνωστικό του αντικείμενο, τη Χειρουργική Άνω Άκρου και Άκρας Χειρός, καθώς και στις αρχές της ιατρικής επιστήμης και ηθικής, έχοντας στοχευμένη μετεκπαίδευση σε κορυφαία κέντρα του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου. Διετέλεσε έμμισθος κλινικός υπότροφος (Senior Post CCT Clinical Fellow, 2015) στον τομέα της Χειρουργικής Άνω Άκρου (Upper Limb Surgery ) στο Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS, Reading, Berkshire, UK, υπό την καθοδήγηση του Professor Ofer (εμπνευστής και σχεδιαστής της ανάστροφης ολικής αρθροπλαστικής ώμου VERSO) που μαζί με τον Steve Copeland (εμπνευστής και σχεδιαστής της αρθροπλαστικής ώμου επιφανείας Copeland) αποτέλεσαν πρωτοπόρους στην Χειρουργική του Άνω Άκρου σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο . Στη συνέχεια, διετέλεσε έμμισθος κλινικός υπότροφος (Senior Post CCT Clinical Fellow, 2016) στο Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, στον τομέα της Χειρουργικής Άνω Άκρου και σύμπλοκων Αρθροπλαστικών Ώμου και Αγκώνα (Upper Limb and Complex Shoulder and Elbow Arthroplasty Surgery), υπό την καθοδήγηση των Simon Lambert και Ian Bayley (εμπνευστής και σχεδιαστής της ολικής αρθροπλαστικής ώμου Bayley Walker).

Igglezos Nikolaos is an Orthopedic Surgeon, graduate of the Medical School of Comenius University of Bratislava, and in 2024 he graduated from the Master's Program (MSc) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in Metabolic Bone Diseases. He maintains an active private collaboration with Metropolitan Hospital, where he also serves as an Attending Physician. Previously, he has worked in the Third Orthopedic Clinic of Athens General Hospital KAT, in the Microsurgery and Hand Surgery Department of KAT, as well as in the Sports Injuries Department of the same hospital, gaining extensive experience in trauma and total knee and hip arthroplasty. He has also worked in the Second Orthopedic Clinic of "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital as an orthopedic surgeon, at Livadeia General Hospital, and earlier served as a surgical resident in General Surgery at the same hospital. Ksomeritaki Eleni is an Orthopedic Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Pangrati. She studied at the Medical School of the University of Crete in Heraklion. She served her mandatory Rural Service at the Vamou Health Center in Chania. In 1998, she obtained her specialty title in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology. Μετά την ειδικότητά του ολοκλήρωσε το Διδακτορικό του στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών με "Άριστα" πάνω στη σπονδυλική στήλη. Εξειδικεύθηκε σε μεγάλα κέντρα του εξωτερικού πάνω σε επεμβάσεις αποκατάστασης των οστών και των αρθρώσεων και έλαβε τον τίτλο του “Fellow” από την Ευρωπαϊκή Εταιρεία Ορθοπαιδικής και Τραυματολογίας (FΕΒΟΤ) κατόπιν γραπτών και προφορικών εξετάσεων. In his practice, he manages cases spanning the entire spectrum of orthopedics, orthopedic surgery, and pediatric orthopedics, with specialization in traumatology, sports injuries, arthroscopy, and arthroplasty. Ο Δρ. Νικόλαος Καλύβας είναι Ορθοπαιδικός Χειρουργός με 15ετή εμπειρία στο Σύστημα Υγείας της Γερμανίας (2010–2025). Απο το 2026 διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στους Αμπελόκηπους (έναντι της αμερικανικής πρεσβείας). Για περισσότερα από 15 έτη εργάστηκε σε κλινικές υψηλού επιπέδου της Γερμανίας, ενώ από το 2017 υπηρέτησε ως Επιμελητής και από το 2021 ως Αναπληρωτής Διευθυντής σε πιστοποιημένο κέντρο ενδοπροσθετικής (EPZmax), διενεργώντας συνολικά πάνω από 11.000 χειρουργικές επεμβάσεις.

Εξειδικεύεται σε αρθροπλαστική Ισχίου με τεχνική AMIS, ρομποτική και εξατομικευμένη Αρθροπλαστική Γόνατος, αρθροπλαστική Ώμου με ελάχιστα επεμβατική προσπέλαση και αρθροσκοπική Χειρουργική Ώμου & Γόνατος.

Εφαρμόζει πρωτόκολλα ταχείας αποκατάστασης (Rapid Recovery – Fast Track) με στόχο την άμεση κινητοποίηση και την ασφαλή επάνοδο των ασθενών. Διαθέτει επιπλέον εξειδίκευση στην Αθλητιατρική, τη Χειροθεραπεία και την υπερηχογραφική διάγνωση του μυοσκελετικού συστήματος, καθώς και στον έλεγχο ισχίων νεογνών κατά Graf. Στη διαγνωστική του προσέγγιση αξιοποιεί συστηματικά τη δεξιότητά του στην υπερηχογραφία μυοσκελετικού, επιτρέποντας άμεση, δυναμική και στοχευμένη αξιολόγηση των παθήσεων.

Η εξειδίκευσή του στην Αθλητιατρική και τη Χειροθεραπεία διαμόρφωσε μια πιο ολιστική και λειτουργική προσέγγιση απέναντι στον ασθενή. Ο Δρ. Καλύβας δίνει προτεραιότητα στη συντηρητική θεραπεία, η οποία περιλαμβάνει εξατομικευμένα πρωτόκολλα αποκατάστασης καθώς και υπερηχογραφικά καθοδηγούμενες εγχύσεις κορτιζόνης, υαλουρονικού οξέος και PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma).

Εφόσον έχει εξαντληθεί κάθε πιθανότητα βελτίωσης της πάθησης του ασθενούς με συντηρητική θεραπεία, προτείνει τη χειρουργική αντιμετώπιση μόνο όταν αυτή είναι πραγματικά απαραίτητη.
