Follidi Vasiliki is an Ophthalmologist - Pediatric Ophthalmologist with a private practice located in Mavili Square. She studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. At the same institution, she completed postgraduate studies in "Medical Genetics: Clinical and Laboratory Direction." She specialized in Surgical Ophthalmology - Pediatric Ophthalmology at the "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital in Athens, gaining invaluable experience in both specialized pediatric ophthalmological examinations and the surgical correction of pediatric ophthalmologic disorders. From 2012 to 2014, she also practiced monitoring and managing retinopathy of prematurity in premature infants in the neonatal units of the same pediatric hospital. Furthermore, she continued her specialization in Adult Ophthalmology at the "Hippokration" General Hospital of Athens. She has served as the Consultant of the Ophthalmology Department at the Euroclinic Children's Hospital in Athens. Additionally, from 2012 to 2016, she collaborated with the "Athens General Clinic," supporting the management of pediatric ophthalmologic conditions in neonates, infants, and children. Since 2014, she has been the Consultant for the pediatric ophthalmology department at the Pediatric Hospital of the Athens Medical Center group and the "Gaia" maternity hospital. From 2016 to the present, she has been an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the Hellenic Ophthalmological Society. The majority of her presentations and lectures at ophthalmology conferences, as well as her publications in Greek and international medical journals, primarily concern pediatric ophthalmology topics. Finally, she has participated in translations of English-language ophthalmology texts into Greek.
