Mpiliou Smaragda is an Internist and a Doctoral Candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a dissertation on "Microcirculatory Disorders in Patients with Chronic Liver Disease" and maintains a private practice in Dafni. She holds a degree from the Medical School and a postgraduate diploma in Thrombosis and Hemorrhage – Transfusion Medicine from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Additionally, she completed a one-year fellowship in Hepatology, specifically in Chronic Liver Diseases, at the "Migliavacca" Liver Center of the University of Milan in Italy. Previously, she taught Neurology and Psychiatry to students of the Nursing and Emergency Care Department at the public IEK Piraeus as well as First Aid courses for first-year medical students as part of the First Aid curriculum.
