Markou Nikos DDS, MSc, PhD is a Periodontist and owns the private Periodontology and Implantology clinic Time To Smile located at Mavili Square.
He was admitted first into the Military School of Corps Officers (ΣΣΑΣ) in 1989 and graduated in 1995 with the rank of Second Lieutenant Dentist with excellent performance. He completed his three-year specialization in Periodontology at the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 2005. In 2010, he served as a visiting Scientific Collaborator for six months in the Postgraduate Program of Periodontology and Implantology at Tufts University, Boston, USA. He served for many years in positions of responsibility within the Medical Corps of the Armed Forces, and from 2005 to 2021 he was Director of the Periodontology Department at the Athens Garrison Dental Clinic. He has been actively involved for several years in the educational activities of the Dental School of the University of Athens as a Scientific Collaborator in the Periodontology and Implantology Laboratories. To date, he has participated as a speaker in numerous conferences, and his work has been published in both Greek and international journals. For the past seven years, he has been consistently elected to the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Periodontal Society and is a member of the Leadership Team of the ITI Greece-Cyprus Section (International Team for Implantology) and an ITI Fellow. He recently completed his doctoral dissertation in Periodontology with excellent performance and was awarded a doctorate from the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The Time To Smile clinic is equipped with the most modern means and equipment and has recently incorporated a state-of-the-art Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) dental scanner into its equipment, covering the full spectrum of Periodontology and Implantology.
