Desiris Panagiotis MD, PhD, MSc is an Ophthalmologist with a private practice in Thessaloniki since 2009. He holds a Doctorate in Ophthalmology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is a graduate of the Medical School of the same institution. Additionally, he holds a Master's Degree in Health Unit Management from the School of Social Sciences of the Hellenic Open University. He completed his specialization at the Ophthalmology Clinics of the General Hospital of Kavala and the University General Hospital of Thessaloniki AHEPA, and he has further specialized in Cataract Surgery and Refractive Surgery in the United Kingdom. His diagnostic expertise covers the entire range of ocular pathology, and he successfully performs surgical procedures for cataracts, glaucoma, eyelids, as well as the application of refractive (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism) and therapeutic lasers (diabetes mellitus, macular degeneration, etc.). He is a regular collaborator with the Euromedica Group - General Clinic of Thessaloniki, as well as with most private clinics and ophthalmological centers. He has participated as a speaker and attended numerous scientific conferences and has contributed to numerous research programs and studies, resulting in significant published works. Finally, he is a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Hellenic Society of Intraocular Lens and Refractive Surgery, the Ophthalmological Society of Northern Greece, the Panhellenic Ophthalmological Society, and the Ophthalmological Society of Thrace, Eastern Macedonia, and the Northern Aegean Islands.
