He holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a medical degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, obtained during his studies in the Medical Department of the Military Officers Corps School (Military Medicine). Furthermore, he has received additional training at Royal Brompton and St. Thomas Hospitals in London. He has participated as a researcher at Imperial College University in London. Finally, the physician is a member of several scientific societies and has numerous presentations at conferences and workshops, publications in Greek and international journals, announcements at international and national conferences, as well as several awards for scientific work.
