Η Γιάννακα Βάσω είναι Δερματολόγος - Αφροδισιολόγος με εξειδίκευση στην Αισθητική Δερματολογία. Το 2006 εισήχθει στο τμήμα της Ιατρικής στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης, όπου και το 2012 ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές της. Ακολούθησε η έναρξη της ειδικότητας της (του γενικού τμήματος) στην Παθολογική Κλινική του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Λευκάδας για ενάμιση χρόνο. Από το 2016 έως το 2022 εργάστηκε ως ειδικευόμενη ιατρός στη Δερματολογική Κλινική του Πανεπιστημιακού Νοσοκομείου Έσσεν, όπου απέκτησε εμπειρία στην δερματολογία, και ιδιαίτερα στη δερματοογκολογία (καθημερινή φροντίδα ογκολογικών ασθενών με ενεργό συμμετοχή σε διεπιστημονικά ογκολογικά συμβούλια.με συμμετοχή σε κλινικές μελέτες φάσης ΙΙ-IV), και τη χειρουργική δερματολογία.
