Tolkos Athanasios is an Obstetrician - Gynecological Surgeon, Associate Consultant B' at the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Papageorgiou General Hospital. Η διδακτορική της διατριβή είχε θέμα: "Ο ρόλος των νευροτροφινών NGF και BDNF στις γυναίκες με υπερδραστήρια κύστη και η συσχέτιση των επιπέδων τους με την κλινική εικόνα και την αποτελεσματικότητα της φαρμακευτικής θεραπείας", με ιδιαίτερο ερευνητικό ενδιαφέρον στις διαταραχές του πυελικού εδάφους και την ουρογυναικολογία.

Έχει ενεργή συμμετοχή σε ελληνικά και διεθνή ιατρικά συνέδρια, επιστημονικές δημοσιεύσεις σε έγκριτα περιοδικά και είναι πιστοποιημένη στη διαγνωστική κολποσκόπηση.
