Ασκεί την ορθοπαιδικη χειρουργική 30 χρόνια, έχει μεγάλη κλινική εμπειρία και επί σειρά ετών αντιμετώπισε με επιτυχία χιλιάδες ασθενείς συντηρητικά η χειρουργικά. Ο Σαλούπης Παναγιώτης είναι πτυχιούχος ιατρικής - χειρουργικής σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου του Μιλάνου (Universita' degli studi di Milano). To 1988 απέκτησε την άδεια ασκήσεως επαγγέλματος και το 1996 την λήψη τίτλου ειδικότητος Ορθοπαιδικής. Έχει εργαστεί στην Υπηρεσία υπαίθρου Α.Ι.Ειρηνούπολης. Από το 1996 έως το 2006 διατήρησε ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στη Βέροια και στη συνέχεια στη Θεσσαλονίκη με 10ετή συνεργασία με το Ιατρικό της EXPRESS SERVICE. Το 2006 διορίστηκε στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Έδεσσας όπου υπηρετεί μέχρι σήμερα ως Διευθυντής της κλινικής ενώ για πέντε περίπου χρόνια συνυπηρετούσε στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Θεσσαλονίκης"Ιπποκράτειο".
