Mpenakis Leonardos is an Orthopedic Surgeon, Director of the Orthopedic Clinic at Metropolitan Hospital, and maintains a private practice in Vrilissia. He graduated from the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace, where he was admitted through national university entrance examinations. He received a Scholarship from the Hellenic Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (E.E.CH.O.T.) for the first Forte Summer School in 2016. Additionally, he was awarded a scholarship from the Hellenic Arthroscopy Society (E.A.E.) for the Travelling Fellowship in 2017. He has participated in numerous international conferences, specialized seminars on new techniques, and educational courses. He has also served as Director of the Orthopedic Clinic at Euroclinic Athens and was among the first Orthopedic Surgeons in Greece trained in total hip arthroplasty using the minimally invasive SuperPath approach during its introduction in 2016. In 2016, he obtained the sports medicine specialization title in Germany, as well as certification in arthroscopic surgery. Additionally, the physician is trained and certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
