Μετά από πολυετή χειρουργική εξειδίκευση στο εξωτερικό, επιστρέφει στη γενέτειρά του, την Αθήνα, για να ασκήσει την ορθοπαιδική επιστήμη, ως Διευθυντής της Γ’ Ορθοπαιδικής Κλινικής στο Therapis General Hospital, με βάση τα πλέον σύγχρονα διεθνή πρότυπα και επίκεντρο τον άνθρωπο.

Karagkounis Panagiotis MD, MSc, PhD is a Physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation/Sports Medicine, with a private practice in Agia Paraskevi. He also serves as the Scientific Director of the "THISEAS" Rehabilitation and Recovery Center and the Scientific Director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Metropolitan Hospital (Neo Faliro). Επίσης το Φεβρουάριο του 2022 βρέθηκε στη Νέα Υόρκη στο Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, USA, το Νο1 ορθοπαιδικό νοσοκομείο των ΗΠΑ, ως υπότροφος (Fellow) του SNF Complex Joint Reconstruction Center. Εκεί για περισσότερους από 12 μήνες συμμετείχε σε πολυάριθμες πρωτοποριακές ερευνητικές μελέτες και εκπαιδεύτηκε στην αντιμετώπιση πολύπλοκων περιστατικών αρθροπλαστικών ισχίου και γόνατος καθώς και αναθεωρήσεων. Στο ίδιο νοσοκομείο των ΗΠΑ ο κ. Φλέβας είχε μεταβεί ως επισκέπτης Ιατρός σε διάφορες περιόδους της εκπαίδευσής του. Το συγγραφικό του έργο περιλαμβάνει πολυάριθμα άρθρα σε διεθνή και εγχώρια περιοδικά καθώς και κεφάλαια σε βιβλία, ενώ είναι και κριτής άρθρων σε διεθνή περιοδικά Ορθοπαιδικής. Dr. Mparmpounakis Nikolaos MD, MSc is an Orthopedic Surgeon with private practices in Marousi within the "Mitera" Hospital, in Salamina, and in Ilisia. He holds a medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Hatieganu" and completed a postgraduate program in "Metabolic Bone Diseases" at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He specialized in Orthopedics at the Sports Injuries Department of the 4th Orthopedic Clinic of the General Hospital "Asklipieio" Voulas and received further training in the Shoulder Disease Clinic at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Milan. Additionally, he specialized in sports injuries at the Pediatric Orthopedic Clinic of the General Children's Hospital of Athens "Panagiotis & Aglaia Kyriakou" and in the management of Upper Limb and Shoulder disorders at the Microsurgery Clinic of the Attikon General Hospital of Athens KAT.
