The Center for Special Therapies Development of Speech and Work is located in Kaisariani, with the Special Educator Kentro Eidikon Therapeion Anaptyksi Logou Kai Ergou as its scientific director. The Center for Special Therapies is staffed by highly qualified therapists with many years of experience, covering a wide range for a more effective approach and treatment of each patient. Specifically, there is a Speech Therapist, Psychologist, Special Educator, and Occupational Therapist providing individualized therapeutic programs tailored to the needs of each person, respecting their personality and unique characteristics. Το Λόγου Χάριν είναι ένα Κέντρο Ανάπτυξης Λόγου, Κίνησης και Κοινωνικών Δεξιοτήτων στον Πειραιά, το οποίο ιδρύθηκε το 2007 από τη λογοπεδικό Βαρβάρα Ρούσσου. Η κα Ρούσσου έχει σπουδάσει Λογοθεραπεία στη Φλωρεντία και είναι κάτοχος MSc στην Ακοολογία - Νευροωτολογία από την Ιατρική Σχολή του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, με συνεχή επιμόρφωση σε σύγχρονες θεραπευτικές μεθόδους και προσεγγίσεις.

Στο Λόγου Χάριν λειτουργεί μια διεπιστημονική ομάδα λογοθεραπευτών, εργοθεραπευτών, ψυχολόγων και ειδικών παιδαγωγών,η οποία παρέχει υπηρεσίες αξιολόγησης, θεραπευτικής παρέμβασης και συμβουλευτικής σε παιδιά, εφήβους και τις οικογένειές τους ακολουθώντας τις πιο σύγχρονες μεθόδους θεραπευτικής προσέγγισης στον χώρο της ψυχικής υγείας με ειδίκευση στις νευροαναπτυξιακές διαταραχές (αυτισμός, ΔΕΠΥ, δυσλεξία). 

Ειδικότερα, τo κέντρο διαθέτει υπηρεσίες λογοθεραπείας, εργοθεραπείας - αισθητηριακής ολοκλήρωσης, ειδικής διαπαιδαγώγησης, ψυχοθεραπείας παιδιών και εφήβων, ψυχοπαιδαγωγικό πρόγραμμα τόσο ατομικό όσο και ομάδες κοινωνικών δεξιοτήτων παιδιών και εφήβων αλλά και υπηρεσίες συμβουλευτικής.

Επιπλέον, στον χώρο πραγματοποιούνται ψυχομετρικές εκτιμήσεις (WISC-V, ερωτηματολόγια Achenbach, κλίμακα αξιολόγησης της ΔΕΠΥ) αλλά και προγράμματα μελέτης για παιδιά με μαθησιακές και άλλες δυσκολίες. Τέλος, πραγματοποιούνται διαδικτυακές συνεδρίες και συναντήσεις, γεγονός που εξυπηρετεί εκείνους που ενδιαφέρονται να συνεργαστούν με τον χώρο μας αλλά δεν μπορούν λόγω συνθηκών ή απόστασης.

Εργοθεραπεία

Η εργοθεραπεία στο Λόγου Χάριν υποστηρίζει παιδιά και εφήβους που αντιμετωπίζουν δυσκολίες στην ανάπτυξη κινητικών, αισθητηριακών, γνωστικών και καθημερινών δεξιοτήτων. Η Αθηνά Παπαδημητρίου είναι εργοθεραπεύτρια και μέλος της διεπιστημονικής ομάδας του Λόγου Χάριν, είναι απόφοιτη του Πανεπιστημίου Δυτικής Αττικής και πιστοποιημένη θεραπεύτρια Αισθητηριακής Ολοκλήρωσης (S.I.T.). Διαθέτει 7ετή επαγγελματική εμπειρία σε παιδιατρικό πληθυσμό με νευροαναπτυξιακές δυσκολίες, έχοντας εργαστεί σε κέντρα ειδικών θεραπειών και ειδικά σχολεία.

Ασχολείται με την αξιολόγηση, τον σχεδιασμό και την εφαρμογή εξατομικευμένων εργοθεραπευτικών παρεμβάσεων, καθώς και με τον σχεδιασμό αισθητηριακής δίαιτας για παιδιά και εφήβους με Διαταραχή Αυτιστικού Φάσματος (ΔΑΦ), ΔΕΠΥ και άλλες αναπτυξιακές δυσκολίες. The center's mission is to create a properly equipped, warm, safe, and pleasant environment for children, adolescents, and their parents. As well-trained therapists in modern scientific methods and continuously educated in new scientific developments, they prevent, evaluate, and design individualized therapeutic programs, respecting each child and their family. Their tools include speech therapy, occupational therapy, sensory integration, special educational rehabilitation, play therapy, psychological support, and parental counseling. Their vision is to improve the quality of life for children and adolescents, fostering self-confidence, joy, and self-actualization, as well as providing informed and supportive assistance to parents and guardians through an honest, collaborative relationship aimed at empowering them. Epi Paidon Ergo - Mpouka Xrysoula is an Occupational Therapist and the scientific director of the Special Therapy Center "Epi Paidon Ergo," located in Glyfada, Attica.

She possesses extensive training and experience in her field. She is a graduate of the University of West Attica, a member of the Panhellenic Association of Occupational Therapists, and is pursuing postgraduate studies in Developmental Psychology. She holds certifications in Sensory Integration (S.I.T.), administration of the EDALFA test, the Movement Assessment Battery for Children-2 (MABC-2, Greek version), Logometro, Achenbach for preschool and school age, BAYLEY-4 Scales, RAVEN'S Educational CPM/CVS, as well as in dysgraphia. Additionally, she has completed the theoretical component of the Neurodevelopmental Treatment Bobath (N.D.T.) method.

Her professional experience includes working with children and adolescents with various diagnoses, as well as participating as a member of Special Evaluation Committees within the framework of the "Personal Assistant for Persons with Disabilities" program. Eui Dourou - Kentro Eidikon Therapeion Ena Dis Abilities is an Occupational Therapist and the scientific director of the Special Therapy Center "1 Dis Abilities" in Vyronas. She is a graduate of the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Athens, with a specialization in School Psychology from the University of the Aegean and postgraduate studies in Education and Technology through the Hellenic Open University. In recent years, she has worked with passion and dedication in the field of Special Education, both in private special therapy centers and in public educational institutions. As an occupational therapist, she has the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She has experience with children facing developmental and neurodevelopmental challenges, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), intellectual disability, Down syndrome, motor or sensory difficulties, as well as challenges in writing and social interaction. She designs creative and targeted interventions that enhance skills at the motor, sensory, cognitive, and social levels. Each session represents an opportunity for progress, respecting the unique needs and abilities of each child. Her goal is the substantial empowerment and improvement of quality of life through a personalized and functional approach. Interventions are conducted either individually or in small groups, within a safe, creative, and supportive environment. Mpouziani Adamantia Psychodiagnosis is a graduate of the Psychology Department of the University of Westminster and operates her private practice – Psychological Center "Psychodiagnosis" in the Piraeus area. Additionally, she specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and particularly in the "Applied Behaviour Analysis - ABA – Lovaas" program for children with autism. Ms. Mpouziani Adamantia, Psychologist, provides all necessary counseling services related to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Counseling, Marriage Counseling, Addictions, Special Education and Learning Difficulties, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Autism – Early Intervention, Behavioral Therapy, as well as Programs for children with special needs - AMEA.
