 Ολοκληρώνοντας επιτυχώς την εκπαίδευση του, αποφοίτησε από τη Στρατιωτική Σχολή και από την Ιατρική Σχολή του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Στη συνέχεια παρακολούθησε το ετήσιο εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα της Σχολής Εφαρμογής Υγειονομικού και μετά την αποφοίτησή του υπηρέτησε ως Ιατρός Μονάδος στην 35^η Μοίρα Καταδρομών της ΕΛΔΥΚ για δύο χρόνια.

 Έπειτα από επιτυχείς εξετάσεις, ξεκίνησε την ειδικότητα της Πλαστικής Χειρουργικής ως ειδικευόμενος σε κλινικές Γενικής Χειρουργικής του 401 Γενικού Στρατιωτικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών και του 417 Νοσηλευτικού Ιδρύματος Μετοχικού Ταμείου Στρατού (ΝΙΜΤΣ).

 Συνέχισε την εξειδίκευση του στην κλινική της Πλαστικής και Επανορθωτικής Χειρουργικής του Θριασίου Νοσοκομείου, στο Λάτσειο Κέντρο Εγκαυμάτων, στη Νευροχειρουργική Κλινική του 417 ΝΙΜΤΣ στην Ωτορινολαρυγγολογική Κλινική του Θριασίου Νοσοκομείου, στην Κλινική Πλαστικής Χειρουργικής στο Selly Oak Hospital καθώς και στο Κέντρο Σαρκώματος στο Royal Orthopaedic Hospital στο Birmingham του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου. Υπηρέτησε, ακολούθως, ως Υποδιοικητής στο 88 ΤΥΓ Λήμνου καθώς και Διευθυντής του Χειρουργικού τμήματος. Παράλληλα, εργάστηκε ως επιστημονικός συνεργάτης στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Λήμνου.

Ολοκλήρωσε, επίσης, επιτυχώς, με βαθμό Άριστα, το μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα του Εθνικού & Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών στην Ελάχιστα Επεμβατική Χειρουργική, Ρομποτική Χειρουργική & Τηλεχειρουργική, με πτυχιακή εργασία σχετικά με την Ρομποτική Αποκατάσταση του μαστού μετά από Μαστεκτομή. Εξειδικεύθηκε στη Λιπογλυπτική σώματος και στην Αισθητική Χειρουργική του Προσώπου κοντά στον Ιταλοβραζιλιάνο Καθηγητή Carlo Gasperoni, του οποίου υπήρξε βοηθός για πολλά έτη, όπως και στην Αποκατάσταση του μαστού μετά από Μαστεκτομή στις μεγαλύτερες σχολές της Ευρώπης. Έχει διατελέσει Διευθυντής της Πλαστικής Αισθητικής Χειρουργικής στον Όμιλο Πολυκλινικών Λαμίας, στη Κλινική Κυανός Σταυρός, στο Νέο Αθήναιον-MD Hospital και ως Υπεύθυνος Πλαστικής σε άλλες κλινικές των Αθηνών. Έχει στο ενεργητικό του πολλές χιλιάδες επιτυχημένες επεμβάσεις Τέλος, έχει λάβει μέρος σε διάφορα εθελοντικά προγράμματα όπως στην εκπαίδευση πρώτων βοηθειών του Τομέα Σαμαρειτών, Διασωστών και Ναυαγοσωστών του Ελληνικού Ερυθρού Σταυρού, στον Ιστιοπλοϊκό Όμιλο Χανίων, σε Αθλητικά Σωματεία Νέων. Πραγματοποίησε καμπάνια κατά του καρκίνου του μαστού, ανδρικού και γυναικείου, μέσω της θεατρικής παράστασης "Η άμυαλη βιολέτα" βασισμένης σε δικό του κείμενο, με σκοπό την ευαισθητοποίηση και τη δωρεάν αποκατάσταση μαστεκτομημένων γυναικών που δεν είχαν χρήματα να αποκαταστήσουν τον μαστό τους από εκείνον και την ομάδα του. Επίσης, εξέδωσε συλλογή παραμυθιών για φιλανθρωπικό σκοπό για την ενίσχυση οργανώσεων που αφορούν παιδιά και γονείς, τις "Ρίζες", τους "Γονείς" και το "Homestat". Μέχρι και σήμερα συνεχίζει να προσφέρει τις εθελοντικές του υπηρεσίες σε διάφορες κοινωνικές δράσεις προληπτικής ιατρικής και ενημέρωσης για παιδιά και ευπαθείς κοινωνικές ομάδες. Στηρίζει έμπρακτα ανθρωπιστικές και φιλανθρωπικές οργανώσεις. Τέλος, ο γιατρός έχει πλούσιο συγγραφικό έργο στην Παιδική Λογοτεχνία.

Thomas Ioannis is a Dermatologist - Venereologist who maintains a private practice in Athens, near the Ambelokipi metro station. He holds a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and specialized in Dermatology and Venereology at the Dermatology Clinic of the University of Tübingen in Germany, with further specialization in the pharmacological treatment of skin cancers at the same University's Dermatology Clinic. From 2019 to 2021, he served as the Deputy Medical Director at the Dermatologic Oncology Clinical Research Center of the University Dermatology Clinic in Tübingen, and from 2021 to 2023, he was the Director of the same center within the University Dermatology Clinic.
