Asimakopoulou Theodora is a Hematologist and maintains private practices in Ampelokipoi and within the Athens Medical Center (in Marousi). She holds a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She served as the Director of the Hematology Clinic at Sismanogleio Hospital for 15 years and was solely responsible for the Short-Term Hospitalization Unit and the Autologous Bone Marrow Transplantation department. Additionally, she was the Director of the Blood Bank and Hematology Department at KAT Hospital and served for many years as a consultant within the National Health System (ESY). She has an extensive research and clinical portfolio, with publications in international and Greek scientific journals, and her broad experience focuses on benign and malignant hematological diseases, including their diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring.

Maria Giannopoulou is a Hematologist and maintains a private practice in Chalandri. She holds a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has participated in the third cycle of postgraduate courses in hematology at the 1st Department of Internal Medicine of the University of Athens. Dr. Giannopoulou specialized in internal medicine and hematology at the General Attica Hospital "Sismanoglio" and is an Associate of the Hematology Clinic - Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Athens Medical Center. Είναι απόφοιτη της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Εθνικού & Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και Διδάκτωρ Ιατρικής του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης. Από τον Αύγουστο του 2019 έλαβε θέση Διευθύντριας Αιματολογίας στo Πανεπιστημιακό νοσοκομείο του Βirmingham. Αντιμετώπισε και παρακολούθησε μεγάλο αριθμό ασθενών από όλο το φάσμα των αιματολογικών παθήσεων. Διετέλεσε τακτικό μέλος του Αιματολογικού Ογκολογικού Συμβουλίου του νοσοκομείου και ήταν επικεφαλής της Υπηρεσίας Επείγουσας Αντιμετώπισης Ογκολογικών ασθενών. Εκτός από την Κλινική Αιματολογία, εστίασε και στην εφαρμοσμένη κλινική έρευνα. Επιπλέον, της Διδακτορικής της Διατριβής, έχει δημοσιεύσει μεγάλο αριθμό άρθρων σε διεθνή ιατρικά περιοδικά και έχει συμμετάσχει σε σημαντικό αριθμό κλινικών μελετών. Η συνεχής ενημέρωση - εκπαίδευση στις εξελίξεις στη διαγνωστική προσέγγιση και τη θεραπευτική αντιμετώπιση ασθενών με καλοήθεις και κακοήθεις αιματολογικές παθήσεις είναι απαραίτητη για την προσφορά της καλύτερης δυνατής φροντίδας στους ασθενείς. Aikaterini Benekou, MD, is a Consultant Hematologist with extensive experience in clinical hematology and the management of hematologic malignancies. She runs a private practice in the center of Athens (Pedion tou Areos). She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and in 2015 was awarded the Medical Specialty Title in Hematology after completing her training at Laiko General Hospital of Athens.

From 2015 to 2018, she worked as a Hematology Registrar/Consultant at Barts NHS Trust in London, gaining substantial experience in the management of hematologic malignancies and advanced therapeutic approaches. Subsequently, from August 2018 to April 2019, she served as a Consultant Hematologist at Northwick Park Hospital in London, where she specialized in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Since 2019, she has been serving as a Consultant Hematologist (Grade A) at Laiko General Hospital of Athens, while since 2020 she has also been a regular member of the National Committee for the Evaluation and Reimbursement of Human Medicines at the Ministry of Health, actively contributing to the assessment of new medicines based on documented clinical data on efficacy and safety, with the goal of integrating them into reimbursed therapies.

Her research and academic activity is rich, including publications in international peer-reviewed journals and presentations at major scientific congresses. Her main scientific interests focus on stem cell transplantation, cellular therapies, and modern treatment approaches for lymphomas and leukemias.

Giannikos Theofanis is a Hematologist with private practices in Nea Ionia and Kallithea. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as the Military School of Officers Corps. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Air Force School of Aviation Medicine and completed his specialty in Hematology. Beyond his private practice, he serves as a Unit Physician in the Air Force General Staff Squadron, an External Collaborator and Hematologist at the Central Clinic of Athens, and Consultant in the Hematology Clinic 251 of the General Air Force Hospital. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that during his professional career, he worked and trained at the 251 General Air Force Hospital, where he rotated through various departments including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, and Orthopedics. Finally, he is a member of the Hellenic Society of Hematology and the Athens Medical Association and has attended national and European hematology conferences, aiming for continuous education and training in his field.

Xondropoulos Spyros is a Hematologist and maintains a private practice within the Central Medical Park Polyclinic in Kallithea. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and obtained his hematology specialty title at the University General Hospital "Attikon" in 2012. He served as a Hematology Registrar at the Transplantation Unit of the University Hospital of Patras as well as at the Hematology Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "Georgios Gennimatas" in Athens. Since 2020, he has been a Hematology Registrar at the Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit at PGN Attikon.

Additionally, he holds a doctoral degree and is a PhD holder from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, actively participating in the education of undergraduate medical students as well as teaching in postgraduate programs.

He specializes primarily in hematologic malignancies with a particular scientific interest in cellular therapies.

Mpartzi Vasiliki is a Hematologist maintaining a private practice in Ilisia and holds a PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She completed her medical studies at the Medical School in 2000 and received her medical license in 2002. Subsequently, she completed her mandatory three-month training in the specialties of Cardiology, Pathology, and Surgery at the "Skylitseio" Hospital in Chios and worked as a compulsory rural service physician at the Pyrgi Health Center. She has worked as a resident physician in the Pediatrics Department of the General Hospital of Kalamata to obtain her Hematology specialty certification. Additionally, she specialized in the technique of "Fluorescent in situ Hybridization (FISH)" and Molecular techniques in the laboratory of the Kapodistrian University of Athens, received specialization in Hematology at the 1st Propaedeutic Pathology Clinic of Laiko Hospital in Athens, and underwent six months of training in the Blood Donation Department of Laiko Hospital as well as six months of training in the Bone Marrow Transplantation Department of the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos." She has worked as a Consultant Physician B' at the Errikos Dynan Hospital Center and at the General Hospital of Karditsa, as a Scientific Collaborator at the General Hospital "Laiko" and the 1st Propaedeutic Pathology Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University. She has been a resident physician in the Pediatrics Department at the General Hospital of Kalamata, a compulsory rural service physician at the Pyrgi Health Center in the Regional Unit of Chios, and currently serves as a Consultant Hematologist at the University General Hospital of Athens "Laiko" and at the Diagnostic Laboratory Microanalysis Medical S.A.

Koutsi Aikaterini is a Hematologist who maintains a private practice in Ampelokipoi, within the "Errikos Dynan" Hospital Center. She holds a degree from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg, France, as well as a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Additionally, she has completed postgraduate studies in Hemorrhage and Thrombosis at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. As part of her specialization, she has worked in the Pathology Department of the University Hospital of Brussels, as well as in the Hematology Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens. Furthermore, she served as a Scientific Collaborator at the World Histocompatibility Center at the University Hospital of Geneva and as a Second Grade Consultant in the Hematology Clinic at the University Hospital of Geneva. Since 2017, she has concurrently worked as a First Grade Consultant in the Hematology Clinic at the Errikos Dynan Hospital Center. In her practice, she manages cases encountered throughout the spectrum of hematology, specifically lymphoma, myeloma, and leukemia.

Η Δρ Άννα Χριστοφορίδου είναι Αιματολόγος, διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης. Αποφοίτησε από την Ιατρική Σχολή του ΑΠΘ το 1995 και ειδικεύτηκε στην Αιματολογία στο Νοσοκομείο ΠΑΓΝΗ του Ηρακλείου Κρήτης. Μετεκπαιδεύτηκε στην Αμερική τόσο σε ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα στο Ίδρυμα M.O.R.I. του Πανεπιστημίου TUFTS της Βοστώνης, όσο και στην Αιματολογική Ογκολογία στο Νοσοκομείο MD Anderson, Houston. 

Εμπειρία:

Εργάστηκε ως επιστημονική συνεργάτης στο Νοσοκομείο Παπαγεωργίου Θεσσαλονίκης το 2004-2005 και από το 2006 έως το 2019 ως Επιμελήτρια ΕΣΥ στην Πανεπιστημιακή Αιματολογική Κλινική του Νοσοκομείου Αλεξανδρούπολης. Έχει πλούσιο συγγραφικό και εκπαιδευτικό έργο.

Apsemidou Athanasia MD, MSc, PhDc is a Specialist Hematologist maintaining a private practice in Kalamaria and Evosmos. She graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), followed by postgraduate studies titled "Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies" at the same university's Medical School. Since 2025, she has been a PhD candidate (PhDc) at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the Polytechnic Department of "Biomedical Engineering." From 2019 to the present, she has worked as a Hematologist at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos" and at the AHEPA University General Hospital in Thessaloniki. Since 2024, she has served as an academic collaborator at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).

Maria Eustratiadou is a Hematologist collaborating with Genesis Clinic and Euromedica General Clinic. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed her specialization in Hematology at Papageorgiou Hospital. She has served as a Senior Registrar B at Papageorgiou Hospital, gaining extensive experience in the diagnosis and therapeutic management of patients across the full spectrum of benign and malignant Hematology (Myelodysplastic Neoplasms, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Acute Leukemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Thrombocytopenias, Anemia, Hematology Counseling). She has attended numerous conferences with active participation and publications. She successfully passed the European Hematology examinations in 2023. She provides patient services both in clinical settings and via video consultation for patients in remote areas without access to an in-person Hematologist. She undertakes treatments including (immunotherapy, chemotherapy), transfusions, phlebotomies, intravenous iron administration within the clinic, with participation of the National Organization for the Provision of Health Services (EOPYY) in the clinical costs. She performs bone marrow aspiration and biopsy using the latest and minimally painful "drill biopsy" technique because her priority is the comfort and quality of life of her patients. Panagiotis Kouroupakis is a Hematologist and Second Consultant at the Hematology Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "Sismanogleio." He maintains a private practice within BIOMEDIGEN (a diagnostic center in Chalandri) and is also an external collaborator of the IATROPOLIS Group. He graduated from the Medical School of Athens, collaborated for two years with the Hellenic Oncology Research Group, specialized at G.N.A. Sismanogleio (Internal Medicine 2015-2018, Hematology 2019-2023), and completed postgraduate training in the program "Thrombosis - Hemorrhage - Transfusion Medicine." He provides specialized services for the investigation, diagnostic approach, management, and monitoring of anemia, white blood cell and platelet disorders, benign and malignant hematological diseases, as well as hemostasis disorders, both at the laboratory and clinical levels.

Dr. Pessax Ilias is a Hematologist with private practices in Agia Paraskevi and Marousi within the Athens Medical Center. Dr. Pessax was born in Thessaloniki and studied Medicine in Ioannina. Upon completing his specialization in Hematology at the “Laiko” Hospital and his doctoral dissertation, he pursued further training in Israel at one of the world's leading centers for Bone Marrow Transplantation, “Tel HaShomer,” and subsequently worked as a specialist hematologist at one of the largest hemato-oncology centers in the United Kingdom, the Royal Marsden. Following this, Dr. Pessax worked for several years in Greece as an Academic Fellow at the University of Athens, while also serving as a scientific collaborator at the European University Cyprus. Currently, Dr. Pessax is an Associate Professor of Hematology, practices privately in Athens, is a Hematologist at the Athens Medical Center, and regularly continues to practice medicine in the United Kingdom and Belgium as a specialist Hematologist. Scientifically, he has participated in hundreds of Greek and international conferences with numerous significant presentations, has authored many important scientific articles, and has contributed to the writing of two foreign-language medical books.
