Ο Θανόπουλος Αριστομένης είναι έμπειρος Γενικός Χειρουργός με ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στη Γλυφάδα και δευτερεύον ιατρείο στο Περιστέρι. Dr. Ioannis Zouridakis, MD, MSc, is a General Surgeon and Breast Specialist who has maintained a private practice in Korydallos since 1994 and recently within REA Hospital. Dr. Ioannis Sarris, MD, MSc, is a Gynecologist - Obstetrician with private practices in Agia Paraskevi, Attica, and Atalanti, Phthiotis. Επιμελητής στο Τμήμα Γενικής, Λαπαροσκοπικής, Ογκολογικής και Ρομποτικής Χειρουργικής στο Ιατρικό Κέντρο Αθηνών

Σπούδασε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και μετά το πέρας των σπουδών του μετέβη απευθείας στο εξωτερικό και πραγματοποίησε το σύνολο της ειδικότητας της Χειρουργικής σε ένα από τα πλέον ιστορικά και ονομαστά Πανεπιστήμια της Γερμανίας, την Πανεπιστημιακή Κλινική του «Philipps-University Marburg», που αποτελεί κορυφαίο κέντρο αναφοράς στη χειρουργική ενδοκρινών αδένων και νευροενδοκρινών όγκων. Το έντονο και διαρκώς αυξανόμενο επιστημονικό και ακαδημαϊκό ενδιαφέρον του, τον οδήγησε στην ολοκλήρωση της διδακτορικής του διατριβής το 2019 με θέμα «Evaluation of the safety of early drain removal after partial pancreaticoduodenectomy».

Μετά την απόκτηση της ειδικότητας της Γενικής και Σπλαχνικής Χειρουργικής, εργάστηκε αρχικά ως επιμελητής Β και στη συνέχεια ως επιμελητής Α και σε άλλες ονομαστές κλινικές της Γερμανίας, συμμετέχοντας και διενεργώντας και ο ίδιος πληθώρα επεμβάσεων που καλύπτουν όλο το φάσμα της γενικής χειρουργικής. Τα τελευταία χρόνια επικεντρώθηκε στη χειρουργική ενδοκρινών αδένων εργαζόμενος σε ονομαστά κέντρα αναφοράς της Γερμανίας, στο Essen υπό τη διεύθυνση του Prof. M. Walz και στη συνέχεια στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Marburg, όπου σε συνεργασία με την υπεύθυνη του τμήματος χειρουργικής ενδοκρινών αδένων και πρόεδρο της Πανγερμανικής Εταιρίας Χειρουργικής Ενδοκρινών Αδένων, Prof. K. Holzer, διαχειρίστηκαν και αντιμετώπισαν επί σειρά ετών ένα μεγάλο αριθμό περιστατικών, που αφορούσαν τόσο καλοήθεις όσο και κακοήθεις παθήσεις θυρεοειδούς, επινεφριδίων και παθήσεις των παραθυρεοειδών αδένων.

Παράλληλα με την εξειδίκευσή του στη χειρουργική ενδοκρινών αδένων, παρακολούθησε το Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, με αντικείμενο τη Στατιστική και Αναλυτική Βιοϊατρικών Δεδομένων (Health Statistics and Data Analytics), το οποίο και ολοκλήρωσε με άριστα, αποκτώντας τον τίτλο Master of Science (MSc). Το πλούσιο συγγραφικό του έργο και η απρόσκοπτη ενασχόληση του με την εκπαίδευση των φοιτητών της Πανεπιστημιακής Κλινικής Marburg άνοιξαν το δρόμο για την αναγόρευσή του σε Αναπληρωτή Καθηγητή (PD Dr. med.) στο Πανεπιστήμιο «Philipps-University Marburg». Συνεχίζει με υπευθυνότητα και αμείωτο ενθουσιασμό το ακαδημαϊκό του έργο στην Πανεπιστημιακή Κλινική Marburg, συμμετέχοντας στη διδασκαλία και την επίβλεψη διδακτορικών διατριβών των φοιτητών του Πανεπιστημίου.

Ως ενεργό μέλος της Ακαδημαϊκής Κοινότητας του Πανεπιστημίου του Marburg συνεχίζει το ακαδημαϊκό και ερευνητικό-επιστημονικό του έργο. Ακολούθως εντάχθηκε στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο και Μαιευτήριο "Έλενα Βενιζέλου", όπου ανέπτυξε εκτενή κλινική και χειρουργική εμπειρία στη Μαιευτική και Γυναικολογία. καθώς συμμετείχε σε μεγάλο αριθμό φυσιολογικών και επιπλεγμένων τοκετών, διαχειρίστηκε μαιευτικά και γυναικολογικά επείγοντα περιστατικά και είχε ενεργό ρόλο στην παρακολούθηση κυήσεων υψηλού κινδύνου, καθώς και σε καισαρικές τομές αυξημένων απαιτήσεων. Παράλληλα, συμμετείχε στα εξωτερικά ιατρεία, στο τμήμα Κολποσκόπησης και στο Τμήμα Οικογενειακού Προγραμματισμού, παρέχοντας ολοκληρωμένη συμβουλευτική και υποστήριξη στις γυναίκες.

Ο Δρ. Μπενέκος διαθέτει σημαντική συμμετοχή σε πολυάριθμα μαιευτικά και γυναικολογικά χειρουργεία, συμπεριλαμβανομένων λαπαροσκοπικών, υστεροσκοπικών και ογκολογικών επεμβάσεων, καθώς και στην αντιμετώπιση γυναικολογικών όγκων και προκαρκινικών αλλοιώσεων του τραχήλου με σύγχρονες τεχνικές, όπως η εξάχνωση με λέιζερ. Παράλληλα, έχει εκπαιδευτεί και πιστοποιηθεί σε προηγμένα πρωτόκολλα υποστήριξης ζωής, επείγουσας και κρίσιμης φροντίδας στη Μαιευτική και Γυναικολογία, καθώς και στη διαχείριση τραύματος.

Επιπλέον, έχει αποκτήσει διεθνή εμπειρία μέσω παρακολούθησης στην Αναπαραγωγική Ενδοκρινολογία σε εξειδικευμένο κέντρο γονιμότητας στο εξωτερικό, ενώ έχει συμμετάσχει και σε πρωτοποριακά εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα ρομποτικής χειρουργικής. Διατηρεί ενεργή παρουσία στον επιστημονικό χώρο με συμμετοχή και παρουσιάσεις σε ιατρικά συνέδρια στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό, καθώς και με συμβολή σε δημοσιευμένες ερευνητικές εργασίες σε διεθνή ιατρικά περιοδικά. Το 2018 ήταν Fellow Observer στο UCLA, υπό τις οδηγίες της επιστημονικής ομάδας του professor Acacio για ζητήματα παθολογίας κύησης και αναπαραγωγική ενδοκρινολογίας.

Georgios Bpagias is a General Surgeon, PhD holder from the Medical School of Athens. He completed his medical studies at the Medical School of Athens with "Excellent" marks and undertook his specialty training in Greece and Germany (university clinics of general surgery and transplantation in Hannover and Essen). Concurrently, he completed his doctoral thesis on short bowel syndrome also with "Excellent" marks, while specializing in minimally invasive colorectal surgery at the University of Strasbourg, with an emphasis on modern laparoscopic techniques. Subsequently, he completed specialization in pelvic floor disorder management at the University of Venice.

In his clinical practice, he manages general surgery cases covering a broad spectrum, from minor procedures and routine laparoscopic surgeries to specialized colorectal and pelvic floor surgeries. His primary concern is responsible and evidence-based consultation on all surgical issues, aiming for appropriate guidance and making safe therapeutic decisions.

He maintains active scientific involvement, participating predominantly as a speaker and trainer in international, as well as pan-European and Greek scientific conferences. Additionally, he is the author of numerous scientific publications in international journals indexed in PubMed, reflecting his continuous engagement with scientific documentation and the advancement of surgery.

His philosophy is based on the proper and personalized evaluation of each case, evidence-based decision-making, and the avoidance of unnecessary surgeries when not required. Special emphasis is placed on clear, honest, and understandable communication with the patient, to ensure active participation in the therapeutic process and to foster a sense of safety and trust.
