He holds a medical degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has obtained two postgraduate degrees in "Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotic Surgery & Tele-surgery Medicine" and "Surgical Anatomy" from the Medical School of the same university. Additionally, he holds a Doctorate from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the Department of Anatomy. Διατηρεί ορθοπαιδικό ιατρείο στον Πειραιά και συνεργάζεται με ιδιωτικές κλινικές στην Αθήνα και τον Πειραιά. Επέστρεψε στην Ελλάδα μετά από σχεδόν 17 χρόνια παραμονής στην Γερμανία και έχοντας υπηρετήσει ως Επιμελήτρια Α΄ σε μεγάλα ακαδημαϊκά νοσοκομεία της χώρας. Εξακολουθεί και συνεργάζεται με μεγάλες ορθοπαιδικές κλινικές της Γερμανίας. Αφού συγκέντρωσε μεγάλη χειρουργική εμπειρία και όγκο περιστατικών, απέκτησε, το 2018, τον τίτλο της εξειδικευμένης τραυματοχειρουργού, από τον αντίστοιχο ιατρικό σύλλογο της Βόρειας Ρηνανίας Βεστφαλίας. Dimitrios Xrysovitsianos is an Orthopedic Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Ilion.
