Georgios Bpagias is a General Surgeon, PhD holder from the Medical School of Athens. He completed his medical studies at the Medical School of Athens with "Excellent" marks and undertook his specialty training in Greece and Germany (university clinics of general surgery and transplantation in Hannover and Essen). Concurrently, he completed his doctoral thesis on short bowel syndrome also with "Excellent" marks, while specializing in minimally invasive colorectal surgery at the University of Strasbourg, with an emphasis on modern laparoscopic techniques. Subsequently, he completed specialization in pelvic floor disorder management at the University of Venice.

Γενικός Χειρουργός με εξειδίκευση στην Χειρουργική Ενδοκρινών και στην Λαπαροσκοπική & Ρομποτική Χειρουργική και κάτοχος τίτλου Μεταπτυχιακού Τίτλου (MSc) στην Ελάχιστα επεμβατική και Ρομποτική Χειρουργική του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. He specialized in General Surgery at major hospitals in Athens, such as the General Hospital of Athens "G. Gennimatas" and the Naval Hospital of Athens, obtaining his General Surgery specialty title after examinations. Subsequently, he underwent further training in Laser Proctologic Surgery at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Cologne and specialized in Proctology in the USA. He has extensive experience having worked as a Medical Officer and later as a General Surgeon for the Hellenic Police in the Health Department at the Central Clinic of Athens. Moreover, from March 2006 to March 2017, he served as a First Aid Instructor at the Hellenic Lifesaving Academy.
