Είναι πρωτοπόρος στη ρομποτική και λαπαροσκοπική χειρουργική του παχέος εντέρου (Ελάχιστα Επεμβατική) και είναι η μόνη Ελληνίδα Χειρουργός που είναι πιστοποιημένη από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ακαδημία Ρομποτικής Χειρουργικής του Παχέος Εντέρου (EARCS). Σπούδασε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και αναγορεύτηκε Διδάκτωρ γενικής χειρουργικής από το ίδιο πανεπιστήμιο.

Είναι εκπαιδεύτρια Ρομποτικής Χειρουργικής στο διεθνή φορέα εκπαίδευσης της Intuitive, την Ακαδημία ORSI στο Βέλγιο. Επίσης, είναι μέλος του Βασιλικού Κολλεγίου Χειρουργών του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου (FRCS) και διαπιστευμένη ενδοσκόπος από την JAG και πιστοποιημένη τόσο για διαγνωστική όσο και για θεραπευτική ενδοσκόπηση (EMR, ESD).

Κατέχει διεθνείς διακρίσεις για πρωτοποριακές και καινοτόμες τεχνικές στη Ρομποτική Χειρουργική.

Το 2022 πραγματοποίησε την πρώτη Ρομποτική Κολεκτομή δια φυσικών οπών- χωρίς τομή στην κοιλιά (NOTES) στην Ευρώπη.

Το κέντρο της είναι το μοναδικό στην Ελλάδα που πραγματοποιεί αυτή την επέμβαση.

Το 2024, πραγματοποίησε πρώτη παγκοσμίως προηγμένη ρομποτική επέμβαση με χρήση τεχνητής νοημοσύνης για real-time πλοήγηση και αναγνώριση εργαλείων και οργάνων.

Συμμετέχει ενεργά ως προσκεκλημένη ομιλήτρια σε διεθνή συνέδρια για τη ρομποτική χειρουργική και τα ERAS πρωτόκολλα, συμβάλλοντας στην εξέλιξη της ρομποτικής χειρουργικής χειρουργικής παγκοσμίως.

Karaiskos Ioannis is a General Surgeon with a private practice in Vari. He holds a degree from the Medical School of Athens and completed his specialty training at the 1st University Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "Laiko." Additionally, he received advanced training in Laparoscopic Surgery at Montefiore Medical Centre in New York and possesses specialized knowledge in Breast Surgery as well as General Surgery.
