Ophthalmologists for Glaucoma near Marousi

Ο Σαϊτάκης Γιώργος είναι Χειρουργός Οφθαλμίατρος με ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στη Νέα Ερυθραία. Εισήχθη στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών κατόπιν Πανελληνίων εισαγωγικών εξετάσεων. Διετέλεσε υπότροφος του «Γερουλακείου Ιδρύματος» καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της εξαετούς φοίτησης στην Ιατρική Σχολή, ως αριστούχος εισακτέος και ακολούθως, ως φοιτητής (2005-2011). Ειδικεύτηκε στην Οφθαλμολογία στη Β’ Πανεπιστημιακή Οφθαλμολογική Κλινική του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών στο Πανεπιστημιακό Γενικό Νοσοκομείο "Αττικόν’’, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στους τομείς του γλαυκώματος και του αμφιβληστροειδούς. Εκπονεί τη διδακτορική διατριβή του (PhD) στο αντικείμενο της Διαβητικής Αμφιβληστροειδοπάθειας στη Β’ Πανεπιστημιακή Οφθαλμολογική Κλινική του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Κατά το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2018-2019, συμμετείχε στην κλινική εκπαίδευση στην Οφθαλμολογία των πεμπτοετών φοιτητών Ιατρικής του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Μετά από πανευρωπαϊκές εξετάσεις στο Παρίσι, απέκτησε τον τίτλο του “Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology, FEBO“. Ακόμη, τον Μάρτιο του 2018, έλαβε την υποτροφία του καθηγητή Οφθαλμολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου του Harvard "E. Gragoudas“, αφού κατέλαβε την πρώτη θέση σε πανελλήνιες γραπτές εξετάσεις ανάμεσα στους Έλληνες ειδικευόμενους Οφθαλμολογίας, και παρακολούθησε στις ΗΠΑ το ‘’Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology’’,το οποίο διοργανώνεται από το Harvard Medical School και το Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Εν συνεχεία, το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2019-2020, εξειδικεύτηκε στον τομέα της Νευρο-Οφθαλμολογίας (διάρκεια Fellowship 1 έτος) ως προσκεκλημένος Neuro-Ophthalmology International Fellow στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Harvard, στο νοσοκομείο Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, στην Βοστώνη των ΗΠΑ, υπό την καθοδήγηση των παγκοσμίου φήμης καθηγητών Νευρο-Οφθαλμολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Harvard, Dr Joseph Rizzo III και Dr Dean Cestari. Κατά την παραμονή του στις ΗΠΑ, o κος Σαϊτάκης συμμετείχε με εργασίες στο Συνέδριο Νευρο-Οφθαλμολογίας της Βορείου Αμερικής (NANOS) και ανέλαβε ερευνητικά projects στο πεδίο της νευρο-οφθαλμολογικής προσβολής στην ‘’IgG4-related disease’’, συνεργαζόμενος με τον φημισμένο καθηγητή Ρευματολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου του Harvard, Dr John Stone. Είναι κάτοχος του Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος (MSc) «Οπτική και Όραση» του Βαρδινογιάννειου Εργαστηρίου Μεταμοσχεύσεων και Μικροχειρουργικής του Οφθαλμού (IVO) και της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης, αποφοιτώντας από το διετές πρόγραμμα με τον υψηλότερο βαθμό. Είναι, ακόμα, κάτοχος του Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος (MSc) «Διοίκηση Υπηρεσιών Υγείας και Διαχείριση Κρίσεων» του Πανεπιστημίου Πελοποννήσου (2017). Κατά το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2013-2014, εκπαιδεύτηκε στον τομέα της Γενικής Οφθαλμολογίας στην Οφθαλμολογική Κλινική του Πανεπιστημίου Ludwig-Maximilian’s (L.M.U.), Μόναχο της Γερμανίας. Εργάστηκε, επίσης, ως Ερευνητικός και κλινικός συνεργάτης στο Ελληνικό ΄Ίδρυμα Υγείας (Hellenic Health Foundation) υπό την εποπτεία της Καθηγήτριας των Πανεπιστημίων Αθηνών και Harvard κας Αντωνίας Τριχοπούλου στα προγράμματα ‘’Consortium on Health and Ageing: Netwotk of Cohorts in Europe and the United States” και ‘’Υδρία’’. Eίναι ιδρυτικό μέλος της Διεθνούς Εταιρείας Έρευνας της Αλληλεπίδρασης Ψυχικών και Σωματικών Νοσημάτων. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε σημαντικό αριθμό ξένων και ελληνικών συνεδρίων, καθώς και ξενόγλωσσων και ελληνικών δημοσιεύσεων. Τέλος, διατελεί Διευθυντής του τμήματος Νευρο-Οφθαλμολογίας στο Athens Eye Hospital.

Niskopoulou Mania Phd Kai Synergates is an Ophthalmic Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Chalandri. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in Age-related Macular Degeneration and Retinal diseases (fellowship in Medical Retina) at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, one of the largest clinical and research centers worldwide. Since 2003, she has worked as a cataract surgeon and specialist in retinal diseases (diabetic lesions, macular degeneration, vascular diseases, genetic disorders) in hospitals in England and Greece. More specifically, she has served as a Consultant at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and at Moorfields at Croydon University Hospital in London, where she was also the director of the Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Department, as well as an attending physician at Frimley Park Hospital. For the past 5 years, she has maintained a practice in France as well. In Athens, she collaborates with modern Ophthalmology Centers, where she performs surgeries and supplementary ophthalmological examinations. She is the Director of the 2nd Ophthalmology Clinic at Metropolitan General Hospital. She is a Collaborator at Eye Day Clinic, OMMA, and AKTINA. Additionally, she holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She teaches in the postgraduate Vitreous-Retina Program of NKUA. She continues to participate in numerous national and international conferences, presenting papers and lectures in workshops and round tables. Vasileios Papadopoulos is an Ophthalmologist and operates an Ophthalmology Center in Kifisia. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed his Ophthalmology specialization at the General Hospital of Theia's Providence "H Pammakaristos." He has served as Scientific Director of ophthalmology centers and has participated in numerous ophthalmological and medical seminars, conferences, and workshops. He is a member of the Medical Association of Athens and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. The Biolaser Ophthalmology Center was established in 1991 by Vasileios Papadopoulos, and their primary goal and distinction from many other impersonal medical centers is the development of a trust-based relationship between doctor and patient. They provide high-level medical services in both diagnostic and therapeutic fields.

Dr. Lamprou Lampros MD, PhD is an Ophthalmologist with a private practice in Melissia, Attica. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a PhD from the Medical School of the Democritus University of Thrace. He specialized in Ophthalmology at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the "Korgialenio - Benakeio Red Cross" Hospital in Athens. After completing his specialty, he moved to Sweden for further training in the fields of glaucoma, cataract, and macular degeneration. He served for several years as a consultant at the Skåne University Hospital in Malmö/Lund and at the Södra Älvsborg Hospital, where he was also responsible for glaucoma management and the training of specialists in this field. He has participated in numerous conferences and educational seminars.

Maria Melisourgaki is an Ophthalmologist and runs the private practice EyeCheck in Neo Psychiko. She holds a medical degree from the Medical School of the University of Crete and specialized in Ophthalmology at the Venizeleio Hospital of Heraklion, Crete, and at the Athens Ophthalmology Clinic. She is responsible for the ophthalmology clinic at the Medifirst Polyclinic in Marousi and is an affiliated physician of the Athens Medi-clinic and the OMMA Ophthalmology Institute of Athens. She examines adults and children from 5 years old.
