Διετέλεσε Επιμελητής του Αιμοδυναμικού Εργαστηρίου του Ερρίκος Ντυνάν Hospital Center επί 5ετίας, έχοντας εκτελέσει σειρά συμβατικών πράξεων της επεμβατικής καρδιολογίας (στεφανιογραφία, δεξιός και αριστερός καθετηριασμός, αγγειοπλαστική στεφανιαίων αρτηριών, σύμπλοκη αγγειοπλαστική στελέχους, ενδοστεφανιαίο υπερηχογράφημα, rotablator, τοποθέτηση διαδερμικής αορτικής βαλβίδας κτλ.). Αποτελεί ενεργό μέλος της Ομάδας Διακαθετηριακής Επεμβατικής Καρδιολογίας της Ευρωπαϊκής Καρδιολογικής Εταιρείας, της Ομάδας Καρδιαγγειακής Απεικόνισης της Ευρωπαϊκής Καρδιολογικής Εταιρείας, της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Αθηροσκλήρωσης, του Ελληνικού Κολλεγίου Θεραπείας της Αθηροσκλήρωσης και της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Μελέτης της Παχυσαρκίας του Μεταβολισμού & των Διαταραχών Διατροφής. Έχει εκλεγεί στο ΔΣ της Ομάδας Πρόληψης και Επιδημιολογίας της Ελληνικής Καρδιολογικής Εταιρείας για τα έτη 2018-20. Το ερευνητικό ενδιαφέρον του Δρ. Δαμάσκου είναι εστιασμένο στη σύγχρονη αντιμετώπιση της στεφανιαίας νόσου και των συγγενών δυσλιπιδαιμιών, την εξέλιξη του κλάδου της κάρδιο-ογκολογίας, καθώς και σε τομείς που άπτονται της επεμβατικής καρδιολογίας, όπως οι υψηλού κινδύνου αγγειοπλαστικές σε σύμπλοκες βλάβες και η χρήση βιοαπορροφήσιμων stent. Έχει συνολικά δημοσιεύσει περισσότερα από 50 επιστημονικά άρθρα και έχει συγγράψει κεφάλαια επιστημονικών συγγραμμάτων και είναι κριτής σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά. Τέλος, συμμετέχει με ομιλίες σε διεθνή και ελληνικά συνέδρια και έχει λάβει μέρος σε σημαντικές διεθνείς κλινικές μελέτες.
