Σπούδασε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου της Βόννης στη Γερμανία από όπου αποφοίτησε το 1993. Στη συνέχεια μετέβη στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και ειδικεύθηκε εξ ολοκλήρου στη Μαιευτική - Γυναικολογία. To 2001 απέκτησε τον Ευρωπαϊκό τίτλο ειδικότητας στην Μαιευτική και Γυναικολογία. Το 1999 απέκτησε μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο στους προηγμένους Μαιευτικούς Υπερήχους από το Βασιλικό Κολλέγιο Μαιευτήρων - Γυναικολόγων του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου.
