Since 2023, she has been serving as the Director of the 3rd Oncology Clinic at Metropolitan General Cholargos. Additionally, she is an active member of associations and organizations including the Hellenic Society for Neuroendocrine Tumors, where she serves as President, the Hellenic Society of Medical Oncologists (HSPO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society e.V. (ENETS), and the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS). Finally, her significant contributions to research programs and publications were recognized in 2023 when she received an honorary distinction as Scientific Director "for her valuable contribution to patients and fellow physicians of the Clinic" at the 11th Panhellenic Congress "New Drugs in Oncology."

Η Σταθάκη Μάρθα είναι Γενικός Χειρουργός - Μαστολόγος, με ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον και εμπειρία στη χειρουργική του μαστού. Είναι Επιμελήτρια στο Γ.Ν. “ ́Ελενα Βενιζέλου-Αλεξάνδρα”, ενώ διατηρεί και ιδωτικό ιατρείο στην Ηλιούπολη. Είναι απόφοιτη, και αριστούχος Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής |Σχολής του Εθνικού και Καποδιαστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, καθώς και κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου σπουδών με θέμα την Επείγουσα Προνοσοκομεική Ιατρική. Το θέμα της διδακτορικής της διατριβής αφορά την μοριακή βιολογία και τους μηχανισμούς καρκινογένεσης. Η γιατρός συμμετέχει στη λειτουργία του Ιατρείου Μαστού του Χειρουργικού Τμήματος του Γ.Ν. “Έλενα Βενιζέλου” και εκτιμά άνω των 1000 ασθενών με παθήσεις μαστού ετησίως, με αξιολόγηση απεικονιστικών εξετάσεων και συμβουλευτική κινδύνου εμφάνισης καρκίνου του μαστού, ενώ επί διετίας εργάστηκε ως επιστημονική συνεργάτιδα στη «Μονάδα Μαστού» Ά Προπαιδευτική Χειρουργική Κλινική Ε.Κ.Π.Α. Πραγματοποιεί ετησίως πολυάριθμες επεμβάσεις χειρουργικής μαστού με όλες τις σύγχρονες τεχνικές. Είναι επιστημονική συνεργάτιδα και ερευνήτρια στη “Μονάδα Μελέτης Μηχανισμών Καρκινογένεσης και Θεραπείας” του Εργαστηρίου Φυσιολογίας του Εθνικού και Καποδιαστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, με συμμετοχή σε Ερευνητικό Έργο του προγράμματος “ Συμπράξεις Ερευνητικής Αριστείας” του Υπουργείου Π.Θ.Α.. Συμμετέχει ως ερευνήτρια στη διεθνή πολυκεντρική μελέτη GECKO, ενώ είναι εκ των κύριων ερευνητών σε πρωτόκολλα που εκπονούνται από το Χειρουργικό Τμήμα του Γ.Ν. “Έλενα Βενιζέλου” σε συνεργασία με το Εργαστήριο Πειραματικής Φυσιολογίας της Ιατρικής Σχολής ΕΚΠΑ σκοπό την εφαρμογή δεικτών για την ανίχνευση πρώιμου καρκίνου του μαστού και τον καθορισμό της κλωνικότητας των κυττάρων σε ασθενείς με καρκίνο του μαστού. Στο παρελθόν έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολυάριθμα ερευνητικά πρωτόκολλα του ΕΚΠΑ, του Ιδρύματος Ιατροβιολογικών Ερευνών Ακαδημίας Αθηνών καθώς και στο |Εργαστήριο Χειρουργικής Έρευνας του Yale University School of Medicine όπου και πραγματοποίησε μέρος των σπουδών της. Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα αποτυπώνονται σε πολυάριθμες δημοσιεύσεις αφορούσες τη φυσιολογία και μοριακή βιολογία των παθήσεων του μαστού σε διεθνή περιοδικά υψηλού κύρους καθώς και σε ελληνικά και διεθνή συνέδρια μαστού. Επιμορφώνεται διαρκώς παρακολουθώντας τις εξελίξεις στην χειρουργική του μαστού με συμμετοχή σε συνέδρια και hands on μετεκπαιδευτικά σεμινάρια, ενώ έχει η ίδια πλούσιο εκπαιδευτικό και διδακτικό έργο σε προπτυχιακό και μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο.
