He has worked in both the private and public sectors in Greece and abroad. Among other roles, he served as the physician for the National Under-21 Football Team for one year, for the Judo Team of the National Gymnastic Association for over ten years, as team doctor for the Molaikos Laconia club, as a race doctor for the "Zirineia" Athletics competitions, as well as for the National Judo Team. Ο Ιωάννης Μπάμπης είναι Ορθοπαιδικός Χειρουργός, διατηρεί το δικό του Ιδιωτικό Ορθοπεδικό Ιατρείο στο Κέντρο της Αθήνας και είναι επιστημονικός συνεργάτης της Βιοκλινικής Αθηνών και άλλων θεραπευτηρίων της Αθήνας. Ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές του στην Ιατρική σχολή  του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας στη Λάρισα, όπου και ήρθε πρώτη φορά σε επαφή με την ειδικότητα της Ορθοπαιδικής φοιτώντας δίπλα σε κάποιους από τους μεγαλύτερους δασκάλους στην Ελλάδα. Μετά την αποφοίτησή του το 2012, ξεκίνησε την ειδικότητα του στην Γενική Ορθοπαιδική στο Γ.Ν. Καρδίτσας όπου έλαβε σημαντική εμπειρία στην τραυματολογία και στην επανορθωτική χειρουργική του ισχίου και του γόνατος. Την ειδικότητα του την ολοκλήρωσε στο 401 Γενικό Στρατιωτικό Νοσοκομείο  Αθηνών όπου θήτευσε δίπλα σε σπουδαίους χειρουργούς και απέκτησε πιστοποιημένη εμπειρία στις Αθλητικές Κακώσεις και την Αρθροσκοπική χειρουργική του Ώμου και του Γόνατος.  Επίσης, σημαντική είναι η εκπαίδευση που έλαβε στην Παιδοορθοπαιδική στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Παίδων “Αγία Σοφία”. Διετέλεσε για ένα διάστημα στην Ορθοπαιδική κλινική του Kungsbacka Hospital, University of Gothenburg, Sweden όπου και εκπαιδεύτηκε στις νεότερες τεχνικές της χειρουργικής του χόνδρου των αρθρώσεων υπό την καθοδήγηση ενός από τους πρωτοπόρους και διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένους χειρουργούς στο πεδίο αυτό, prof. Mats Brittberg. Τέλος, είναι μέλος της Ελληνικής Αρθροσκοπικής Εταιρείας (ΕΑΕ), της European Society for Knee Surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology (ESSKA) και της  European Shoulder Associate (ESA).

Markopoulos Xristos is an Orthopedic Surgeon - Sports Medicine Specialist and a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the University of Athens, with a private practice in Marousi. Concurrently, he serves as a Consultant in the Upper Limb and Microsurgery Department at YGEIA Hospital and was also a member of the medical team of the Panathinaikos Basketball Club. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Eastern Piedmont in Northern Italy and subsequently specialized in Orthopedic Surgery at the First University Orthopedic Clinic of the University of Athens at Attiko Hospital. During his specialization, he focused particularly on the Pediatrics and Microsurgery departments at KAT Hospital. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Metabolic Bone Diseases - Osteoporosis from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
