Στο ίδιο νοσοκομείο των ΗΠΑ ο κ. Φλέβας είχε μεταβεί ως επισκέπτης Ιατρός σε διάφορες περιόδους της εκπαίδευσής του. Το συγγραφικό του έργο περιλαμβάνει πολυάριθμα άρθρα σε διεθνή και εγχώρια περιοδικά καθώς και κεφάλαια σε βιβλία, ενώ είναι και κριτής άρθρων σε διεθνή περιοδικά Ορθοπαιδικής.
